Michigan State vs. Minnesota injury report:

Both Michigan State and Minnesota are dealing with injuries after a pair of games this year.

Michigan State was down four critical players in last week’s loss at Washington, and other than linebacker Darius Snow, who is out for the season, it’s unclear who all will be available this week. The other three key players battling injuries to monitor are safety Xavier Henderson, wide receiver Jayden Reed and defensive tackle Jacob Slade.

Minnesota also experienced some bad injury news in the past week, with the Golden Gophers losing their top wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell. Golden Gophers head coach P.J. Fleck confirmed on Monday that Autman-Bell will be out the remainder of the year after suffering a knee injury last week against Colorado.

Advice and prediction

Minnesota has looked very impressive so far this year but they have yet to face an opponent like Michigan State. Like many, I’m not particularly high on the Spartans after Saturday’s beat down loss at Washington but … there’s still plenty of talent on this roster to expect a bounce back performance. Spartans quarterback Payton Thorne looked sharp on Saturday and if the offense can get just a little bit of production on the ground then I like them to win this one at home.

Prediction: Michigan State – 31, Minnesota – 27
