MSU DE, former 4-star recruit Ken Talley to enter transfer portal

DE Ken Talley is the first known Spartans player to enter the transfer portal and leave the program since the regular season ended

The first ripple of a potential wave of players entering the transfer portal for Michigan State football has struck.

Defensive end Ken Talley made it known on Tuesday that he will enter the transfer portal when it officially opens next week. The postseason transfer portal will open on December 9, and Talley is the first known Spartan to announce he’ll enter the portal.

Talley is a former four-star prospect who originally committed to Penn State out of the 2022 class, but transferred to Michigan State prior to ever playing for the Nittany Lions of the 2022 season. In his two seasons with the Spartans, he appeared in 15 games and recorded 11 tackles — three were for loss and 1.5 were sacks.

Talley will have two years of eligibility remaining for wherever he lands out of the portal.
