ESPN’s SP+ predicts MSU-Indiana game

See how ESPN’s SP+ predicts the Spartans’ next game against Indiana will play out

The computers are not giving the Spartans much of a chance against undefeated Indiana this upcoming week.

Bill Connelly of ESPN released his week 10 predictions from SP+ — which is a statistics-based algorithm for rankings teams and predicting outcomes — and it gives the Hoosiers a huge edge over the Spartans. SP+ is predicting Indiana to win by three scores, with a final score prediction of 32-15.

Michigan State comes into this matchup looking to bounce back from a tough loss against in-state rival Michigan this past weekend. The Spartans are 4-4 overall and 2-3 in Big Ten play.

Indiana is a perfect 8-0 this year and 5-0 in Big Ten play. However, this road game at Michigan State will be arguably the Hoosiers’ toughest test to this point of the year.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be available to watch via streaming on Peacock.
