Michigan State at Rutgers: Will Spartans bounce back after bye?

See how the Spartans Wire staff sees the MSU-Rutgers game playing out this weekend

Can Michigan State pick up its first win in over a month?

The Spartans return from the bye week in another underdog situation — this time at Rutgers. Michigan State is looking to snap a three-game losing streak and win for the first time since early September.

Rutgers comes into this game with a much more impressive 4-2 record but has dropped two of their last three games — at Michigan and Wisconsin. The Scarlet Knights are listed as a near touchdown favorite over the Spartans in this matchup.

All eyes will be on Michigan State-Washington this weekend. Well, a lot of eyes should be that is.

Harlon Barnett will step in as the acting head coach and former Michigan State legend head coach Mark Dantonio is back to serve in an associate head coach role as well.

So how will that all impact this matchup? Well, Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal has some thoughts on that.
