Michigan State football returns home on Saturday afternoon to host FCS foe Prairie View A&M in a non-conference matchup. Michigan State will enter this game as a massive favorite.

The Spartans are currently listed as a 40.5-point favorite over the Panthers, according to The Score app. That betting line aligns with ESPN’s SP+ projection of a 40-0 victory for the Spartans.

Michigan State comes into this matchup with the Panthers following a big-time road upset of Maryland last week. The Spartans are 2-0 on the year and looking to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2021.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Michigan State and FAU are both coming off 4-8 seasons last year, but the Spartans have essentially experienced an overhaul in the offseason. Michigan State has welcomed in a brand new coaching staff led by new head coach Jonathan Smith and a top 15 transfer portal class as well.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on August 30. The game will be televised on Big Ten Network.

Action Network lists MSU Football win total surprisingly low for 2024 season

It’s safe to say the experts at Action Network are not high on the Spartans entering the 2024 season

I’m a little biased, but it’s surprising to see how low the Action Network is on the Spartans heading into the 2024 season.

Action Network released their 2024 win totals for each of the Big Ten teams on Tuesday, and the Spartans were tied for the lowest total at 4.5. Purdue also is set at 4.5 wins for the 2024 season.

Ohio State and Oregon were tied at the top of the league with 10.5 wins, with Michigan and Penn State right behind at 9.5 wins. The complete listing of all the Big Ten teams is included below:
