The Michigan State football season is officially over.
The Spartans failed its final exam in a must-win scenario against Rutgers to reach the postseason, losing by the final score of 41-14. Michigan State needed a win over Rutgers to reach bowl eligibility and extend its season.
With the loss, Michigan State has concluded the 2024 campaign with a 5-7 overall record and for a third straight year will miss out on the bowl season. So, with the 2024 season over, let’s turn our focus to next year. It’s never too early to look ahead to more football, right?
