Analyzing Friday’s Bellator 264 odds and lines between Gegard Mousasi and John Salter, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a middleweight title fight headlining Bellator 264, division champion Gegard Mousasi will battle John Salter. The fight will take place as the main event Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., the main card begins at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bellator 264: Mousasi vs. Salter odds and lines, with MMA picks and predictions.

Mousasi won the Bellator middleweight title for a second time in his most recent outing, winning via unanimous decision over Douglas Lima almost a year ago. The win was the second consecutive victory for the Strikeforce and UFC veteran and his rebuild comes after a majority decision loss to Rafael Lovato Jr. that ended Mousasi’s first run as Bellator champ.

Salter is a longtime MMA veteran who started his UFC career 1-2, but he has gone 13-2 since, including 8-1 in the Bellator cage. Salter’s lone Bellator loss came against Lovato as well.

Bellator 264 Mousasi vs. Salter: Odds, lines, predictions, and picks

Records: Mousasi (47-7-2) | Salter (18-4)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Lean toward MOUSASI (-450), who is the more dominant striker and more experienced of the two fighters.

Mousasi is the more patient of the two fighters. He’s technically superior and he’ll likely use the early rounds to feel Salter out.

Over/Under (O/U)

Lean toward the OVER 3.5 (+115), as Salter is an established veteran who has excelled as a wrestler and will likely look to avoid the striking power of Mousasi.

The longer Salter drags this fight out, the more of a chance he has to spring a late upset or force a judge’s decision.
