Everything you need to know about attending Oregon’s spring game

Highlighted by Oregon’s spring game, Saturday will be packed with activities around Eugene. Here’s everything you need to know.

The annual Oregon Duck football Spring Game is set for a 1 pm kickoff, but football isn’t the only thing on the docket for Duck fans to check out in and around Autzen Stadium on Saturday.

Once fans get to Autzen, they can check out an exhibition soccer game before football and a big Pac-12 baseball game after football.

The United States Military will also play a big role in the Spring Game, a tradition that began with former coach Chip Kelly.

For those who can’t attend the game, it will be shown on the Pac-12 Network.

Here’s all that is going down around the Autzen area in what should be a pleasant afternoon. The weather is calling for 75 degrees and sunny because of course, it NEVER rains at Autzen Stadium.

LOOK: New mural at Oregon’s Moshofsky Center is nearing completion

The Moshofsky Center got a face-lift this offseason with a new mural going up inside. It’s almost done, and should be ready for the home-opener.

One of the most popular buildings on the Oregon Ducks’ campus is the Moshofsky Center.

Sitting adjacent to Autzen Stadium, and often the home of tailgate-like hangouts and parties before, during, and after Oregon games right next door, the ‘Mo’ center is a well-established location for in-game meet-ups and hangouts.

When a game isn’t happening, the Moshofsky Center acts as the Ducks’ indoor practice facility, fit with climate control and a piped-in loudspeaker that is made to simulate crowd noise. While Oregon has plans in the works to build a new, state-of-the-art indoor practice facility in the coming years, the Moshofsky Center went through a bit of a make-over this offseason, with the billboards taken down inside and replaced with a wrap-around mural that is nearing completion. Take a look:

The “Fighting Ducks // Mighty Oregon” mural is expected to be completed in the coming weeks and be ready to debut at Oregon’s first home game against the Eastern Washington Eagles on September 10th.

LOOK: Oregon’s Moshofsky Center is getting a new paint job

It looks like the Moshofsky Center — Oregon’s indoor practice facility — is getting a new paint job ahead of the 2022 season. Credit to @MattPrehm for the photos.

The Oregon Ducks’ indoor practice facility, the Moshofsky Center, appears to be getting a new paint job this offseason. Some impressive murals are going up alongside one of the Ducks’ practice fields.

Located next to the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex, where Oregon has a couple of outdoor practice fields, the Mo Center houses the Ducks’ only indoor facility — for the time being — where the team practices if it wants to control the noise environment or if there is inclement weather in Eugene.

According to 247Sports’ Matt Prehm, new artwork is going up on the walls next to the field which will replace the large billboard-like signs the were there before.

Of course, the Ducks have a new indoor practice facility on the way, with the building expected to be completed in 2024. According to a release from the school’s website, the school has submitted paperwork to the city to build a 170,000-square-foot indoor facility to be built west of Autzen Stadium and between Leo Harris Parkway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The location is part of the current outdoor football practice fields the team uses. Oregon’s indoor practice facility, the Moshofsky Center, is 135,000 square feet and will continue to be used for all sports. This new facility will give the Oregon athletic department two indoor facilities for its sports teams to use.

The new facility will be among the region’s most energy-efficient buildings, with a goal of powering the building with renewable energy generated onsite.
