How much money did Scottie Scheffler’s caddie Ted Scott make in 2024?

Scott has made a pretty penny working for Scheffler.

Scottie Scheffler hiring Ted Scott as his caddie has been plenty beneficial for both sides.

On Sunday, Scheffler won for the ninth time in 2024, defending his title at the Hero World Challenge. Scott has been on the bag from Scheffler’s first PGA Tour win in 2022 to his latest in The Bahamas.

All those wins later, Scott has made a pretty penny working for Scheffler.

After Sunday’s victory, Scheffler’s earnings for the year moved to $55,228,358 after claiming the $1 million first-place prize at Albany Golf Club.

Scott has also benefitted plenty financially from Scheffler’s dominance. Although all caddies may be paid slightly different depending on their relationship with a player, the normal scale is as follows: 10 percent of winnings if a caddie’s player wins, 7 percent for a top 10 and 5 percent for making the cut.

Following that formula, Scott could be up to $5,338,504 this season, if not more, after the Hero World Challenge. Almost half of that amount — $2.5 million to be exact — came at the Tour Championship. There’s also a question mark for the PGA Championship, where Scott missed the third round to attend his daughter’s graduation.

Nevertheless, that number of projected earnings would rank top 20 on the PGA Tour this season, ahead of golfers like two-time winner Austin Eckroat, 2023 FedEx Cup winner Viktor Hovland and Hero runner-up Tom Kim, among others.

Here’s a breakdown of possible money Scott has earned caddying for Scheffler during 2024.

The Post Man is back in the winner’s circle.

It has been more than two years since his last trip to the victor’s circle, but J.T. Poston is a PGA Tour winner again.

Poston earned the third win of his career Sunday, capturing the title at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. Poston posted a 72-hole score of 22-under 262, topping Doug Ghim by a shot. Ghim played the final two holes in three under, but a par on the last hole gave Poston the victory.

With his efforts, Poston will take home $1.26 million from the $7 million purse. Ghim won’t go home empty handed, however, cashing a $763,000 check for the week.

2024 Black Desert Championship prize money payouts for each PGA Tour player in Utah

A historic win for this lefty comes with a big payday.

A historic win for Matt McCarty comes with a big payday.

McCarty won three times in six events on the Korn Ferry Tour to earn his automatic promotion to the PGA Tour. In his second start on Tour since the promotion, he won again, capturing the 2024 Black Desert Championship at 23 under to by three shots over Stephan Jaeger.

The win is significant for many reasons. It gives him better status as a PGA Tour winner, which means a two-year exemption, and he also gets 500 FedEx Cup points and the winner’s check, which is $1.35 million.

What a way to get PGA Tour win No. 1.

Kevin Yu, the 26-year-old who went to Arizona State, knocked off Beau Hossler in a playoff Sunday to capture the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship at The Country Club of Jackson. Yu birdied the 72nd hole to tie the lead, then he stuffed his approach shot on the first playoff hole before burying the birdie putt to knock off Hossler and earn his first tour victory.

For his effort, Yu will take home $1.368 million, and he also moves into No. 60 in the FedEx Cup standings, the last spot in with six events left in the fall. Nos. 51-60 will each spots in two signature events in 2025, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational.

2024 Procore Championship prize money payouts for each PGA Tour player in Napa

Patton Kizzire earned more in Napa, California, than he had in 18 previous starts in 2024.

Patton Kizzire earned more this week in Napa, California, than he had all year in 18 previous starts this season on the PGA Tour.

Kizzire shot a final-round 70 at Silverado Resort’s North Course on Sunday to claim his first victory in six years, eight months and one day at the Procore Championship. With a purse of $6 million, the tournament is the smallest they will play for during the FedEx Cup Fall but Kizzire won’t be complaining.

He banked $1,080,000 for his third career Tour title, which bumped him to more than $13.5 million in career earnings and just inside the top 160 all-time on the Tour. He passed the likes of Jose-Maria Olazabal, Trevor Immelman and Ludvig Aberg (for the time being).
