2022 Minnesota Twins World Series, win total, pennant and division odds

Looking at the 2022 MLB futures for the Minnesota Twins, including odds for the World Series, pennant, division and projected win total.

After winning the American League Central division title in the shortened 2020 season, the Minnesota Twins took a big step back in 2021. Their 73-89 record put them in the division cellar.

The biggest splash the Twins made this offseason was signing SS Carlos Correa. The team also acquired 3B Gio Urshela and C Gary Sanchez in exchange for Josh Donaldson and traded for RHP Sonny Gray to help stabilize the starting rotation.

Below, we look at the Minnesota Twins MLB futures odds, including their projected 2022 win total and World Series odds at Tipico Sportsbook.

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

The Twins are very strong up the middle, with Correa joined by 2B Jorge Polanco, who hit 33 homers in 2021, and CF Byron Buxton. The health of Buxton will be key to the team’s succes,s but considering he has only reached 350 plate appearances once in his career, he’s likely to miss time at some point.

Gray will headline a rotation that has a couple of players on the rise in SP Joe Ryan and SP Bailey Ober. The back of the rotation is a huge question mark though.

SP Dylan Bundy, who put up a 6.06 ERA last season, appears to be locked in for one spot, while the recently signed Chris Archer is a true wild card after making just five starts in the last two seasons combined.

Minnesota should be better than last season, and could be fighting for a playoff spot down the stretch. However, this doesn’t look like a team built for a title run, and it’s probably best to PASS on TWINS (+4000).

Minnesota Twins 2022 playoff odds

Will Twins make the playoffs: Yes +200 No -250

Minnesota looks like a .500 team as it stands now, and with six teams from each league making the playoffs, they have a decent chance of being in the mix for a wild card spot. Therefore, TWINS +200 looks like a pretty nice gamble.

Minnesota Twins 2022 win total

Over/Under: 79.5 (O: -120 | U: +100)

Minnesota fell short of expectations last season when they won just 73 games. But they finished pretty strong, going 30-28 down the stretch even after trading away Nelson Cruz and Jose Berrios at the deadline.

The offense looks pretty solid, with Correa adding another impact bat to a team that returns a couple of 30-HR hitters in Polanco and 1B Miguel Sano.  OF Alex Kiriloff is healthy following season-ending wrist surgery in July and 3B Jose Miranda should be a key contributor after putting up a .973 OPS between Double-A and Triple-A last season.

The Twins final win total will end up within just a few games of this line, but we’ll lean OVER 79.5 (-120).

Odds to win AL Central Division

  • Chicago White Sox -220 (bet $220 to win $100)
  • Minnesota Twins +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Detroit Tigers +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Cleveland Guardians +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • Kansas City Royals +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)

Chicago won the division by 13 games in 2021 and finished 20 games ahead of Minnesota. They look like the clear favorites again, and the Twins are unlikely to push up toward 90 wins. Therefore it’s probably best to PASS.

Odds to win American League

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

The Twins should improve upon last year’s mark and could be a surprising contender if things break right, such as Buxton staying healthy and the team getting some value out of the back of the rotation. But even if they land a spot in the playoffs, that lack of pitching depth will make it pretty tough to go on a deep run.

Minnesota is a long shot to take home the AL pennant, and they aren’t worth investing in at this price. PASS.
