Perhaps no player on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is more excited for the 2020 season to get underway than wide receiver Mike Evans.
While Tampa Bay fans know Evans as the franchise’s best receiver and the star of their offense, it seems the rest of the NFL world is still underrating the former Texas A&M star.
Evans will look to become the first receiver in league history to begin his career with seven-straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons if he can capture another one this season. And having six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady throwing him deep balls should help him reach that goal if he can stay healthy.
Still, that doesn’t seem to be enough to boost his Madden rating much higher than this time last year. Evans was given a 91 overall rating a year ago, and had something to say about it on Twitter. This year, his rating is up a point to 92, but there’s still plenty of reason for him to be upset.

Why should Evans feel slighted? There’s no way anyone would rather have Davante Adams over Evans, whether in Madden or in real life. The fact that Adams is the fifth-ranked receiver in Madden NFL 21 and is listed higher than Evans should add some fuel to the fire for the Bucs receiver as training camp is set to get underway.
