No. 14 Texas A&M is well-rested for its business trip to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, MS. The Aggies have a chance to move to 4-0 in the SEC and restart the momentum after the Missouri win as they prepare for a tough back half of the schedule.
Unlike the last two games, where the predictions were split among the experts, this game is essentially all Texas A&M. There is minimal talk about this being an upset or a trap game, and I believe that is thanks to the culture Mike Elko is building in Bryan-College Station.
There was a time when fans worried about A&M “playing down” to the opponent no matter how much talent was on the field. Mississippi State scored 31 points against Georgia and 28 against Florida, which could make that game interesting. However, they are also giving up 33 points a game, and if you take away the game against Eastern Kentucky it goes up to a whopping 41 points per game.
