The Wolverines escaped against Illinois at “The Big House” Saturday, winning 19-17. The victory came with an expensive price, however, as Heisman candidate RB Blake Corum limped off with a knee injury, leaving his status for The Game up in the air.

The Buckeyes had their hands full in College Park against Maryland Saturday, but they also escaped the upset bug with a 43-30 win, including a defensive touchdown with 9 seconds remaining in regulation. The Terps trailed just 33-30 with less than a minute to go.

Michigan at Ohio State head-to-head

The Wolverines hold a 59-51-6 all-time series lead, although Ohio State has made series inroads in the past 2 decades. The Buckeyes have won 15 of the past 17 meetings, including a vacated win in 2010, although the Wolverines posted a 42-27 win in Ann Arbor last season.

This is the first meeting in Columbus since Nov. 24, 2018, as Michigan famously elected not to play the 2020 regular-series finale due to a reported COVID outbreak within the team.
