The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (2-2, 0-1) tussle Saturday in a Big Ten battle in Lincoln, Neb. Kickoff time at Memorial Stadium is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Michigan vs. Nebraska odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Michigan is No. 2 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. The Wolverines defeated Rutgers 31-7 as 24-point favorites last Saturday. All 4 of Michigan’s games have seen the team score between 30-35 points while allowing a single-digit number, but it has yet to cover the spread in any contest.

Nebraska failed to cover as a 20-point favorite last week, defeating Louisiana Tech 28-14. The Cornhuskers won despite passing for just 107 yards and going 3-of-11 in converting 3rd downs.

Michigan at Nebraska picks and predictions

Prediction

Michigan 28, Nebraska 10

Moneyline

Out of bounds on both ends: PASS.

Against the spread

The Wolverines have won 3 consecutive meetings straight up and are 2-0-1 ATS in 3 games since 2018.

But peg the pace and maybe weather conditions making for a final margin very close to what’s listed here. PASS.

Over/Under

Nine of the last 12 Nebraska games have hit the Under and 9 of the last 14 Michigan games have done likewise.

The ‘Huskers have become the Big Ten’s service academy, piling up more-than-a-2-to-1 run-to-pass ratio on play calls so far. UM has been quite good against the rush (2.8 yards per attempt), so don’t look for UN to bust loose on the ground. However, the Cornhuskers won’t gain much of anything by going to the air even down 3 scores.

The Wolverines rank 127th in plays per game (57.8); the only reason Nebraska ranks higher (97th) is that it trails more often. If you look at the game flow in UM’s last 2 games, the Wolverines could have easily been held to fewer than 30 points in each,

Last year’s UM-UN game (Nov. 12) was lined at 50.5 points. The Under hit with a 34-3 Michigan win. On what is forecasted as a hot, windy afternoon in Lincoln, look for something similar Saturday.

BACK THE UNDER 39.5 (-110).

Michigan at Nebraska odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Michigan at Nebraska odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Michigan Wolverines (5-3, 0-0 Big Ten) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-4, 0-1) tussle in a Tuesday night Big Ten game in Lincoln, Neb. The battle at Pinnacle Bank Arena is slated to tip off at 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Michigan vs. Nebraska odds and lines and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Michigan is coming off a 72-58 non-conference win over San Diego State on Saturday. The Wolverines drained a season-high 11 3-pointers in an 11-of-20 performance from distance. Seven-foot-1 C Hunter Dickinson went 3-of-3 from beyond the arc; he tallied 23 points and 14 rebounds in what marked a bounce-back UM win after a Dec. 1 loss to North Carolina.

The Cornhuskers went into December on a four-game winning streak but have since dropped road games against NC State and Indiana. Nebraska shot just 40.1% from the field over those two losses. The Huskers are shooting just 27.1% from 3-point range; that ranks 340th of 358 NCAA-I teams.

Michigan at Nebraska odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Michigan 70, Nebraska 65

Money line

The tags here are buffered from any profit leverage. Nebraska would be the closest in proximity to some value, but the price would have to be closer to a +320 to warrant any action. PASS.

Against the spread

Michigan has been just shaky enough in a couple recent games away from the Crisler Center to make the Wolverines a slight fade at this point spread. Saturday’s win against the Aztecs was in a game played in a two-score box for nearly 30 minutes. A youthful UM can be a little loose with the ball (KenPom.com rates Michigan 259th in turnover percentage), and the slower-paced Wolverines may well be content to choke down the pace of a two-score lead in this one.

Freshman G Bryce McGowens is coming off a clunker at Indiana, but he gives Nebraska a dynamic look and is a match-up issue for UM’s defense. McGowens is averaging 17.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game through his first nine games.

A return home makes NEBRASKA +7.5 (-110) a low-to-moderate-confidence play.

Over/Under

We get a clash of styles here with slow-tempo Michigan taking on fast-paced Nebraska. Look for the non-conference ‘Husker speed to settle down in Big Ten play, and it does look like the public is a little slow to respond. Last year for instance, when conference play started, UN games hit the Under in three straight on the way to a 5-2 stretch.

Any kind of off night by Michigan and this game could settle closer to 130. TAKE THE UNDER 140.5 (-107).

Michigan at Nebraska odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Michigan Wolverines at Nebraska Cornhuskers odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 8 Michigan Wolverines (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-3, 1-2) for a Big Ten crossover game Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb. Below, we look at the Michigan vs. Nebraska odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings according to the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Michigan is back on the road after taking down Wisconsin 38-17 last week in Madison, Wis. A staunch Wolverines run game ranks seventh in the nation, churning out 255.0 yards per game. A balanced defense has held foes to just 12.8 points per contest.

Nebraska is coming off a big win of its own. The Cornhuskers throttled the Northwestern Wildcats 56-7 and snapped a two-game losing skid in the process. The ‘Huskers had 657 total yards in the victory, and their 503.7 total yards per game ranks second in the conference.

Michigan at Nebraska odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nebraska 27, Michigan 24

Money line

The line for this game opened at Michigan -3.5, and it has drifted toward the ‘Huskers. Unless you can get Nebraska +3, take the CORNHUSKERS +120 on the money line.

The Wolverines getting a night game on the road after last week’s big game at Wisconsin makes for a tough spot. Nebraska was solid in losses against Oklahoma – enough so that the ‘Huskers can be considered a near-pick’em for this game against a UM team that has its surface numbers aided by turnovers and garbage-time scores.

Against the spread

PASS unless the public swings this line back to Michigan -3. And then pounce on Nebraska.

Over/Under

Peg more of a back-and-forth here with a total score spiraling past 50.

TAKE THE OVER 50.5 (-110).
