Shay Colley makes Canadian Senior Women’s Basketball Team

Former Michigan State women’s basketball player Shay Colley was announced to the Canadian 2020 Tokyo Olympic team yesterday. The Brampton, Ontario native has been on the Canadian national team since 2017.

Colley was on the team during the 2018 Commonwealth Games and FIBA World Cup tournament. The guard will be joined by other notable players like Kia Nurse, Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe, Kayla Alexander and Nirra Fields.

Colley played two seasons for the Spartans after transferring from Pittsburgh in 2016. She also a spent a season with South Carolina before transferring to Pittsburgh.

Colley played 53 games with the Spartans and averaged 13.3 points per game, with 5.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
