The board of trustees have approved Alan Haller as the new athletic director

Rumors circulated just a few days ago that Alan Haller was set to be named the newest athletic director of Michigan State University. Haller has previously served in a deputy AD role for the university.

The last hurdle to overcome for Haller was being approved by the board of trustees. That proved to be no problem at all, as it was a unanimous decision to vote Haller as the next AD.

Haller brings a wealth of knowledge to the position along with his familiarity to the university.

Haller will look to continue the growth of Michigan State athletics.

Report: Alan Haller soon to be named Michigan State’s athletic director

Reports are circling that Alan Haller is going to be named Michigan State’s next AD

Michigan State has been in search of a new athletic director for several weeks, when Bill Beekman announced he was going to step away from the role and move into another senior leadership position with the university.

There have been many names thrown around as potential candidates and possibilists as a replacement to Beekman, but one name has been around the whole time, and that is Alan Haller.

Haller is currently serving as the deputy athletic director and is expected to get the promotion, beating out Aubrun’s Allen Greene for the job.

Haller was a member of the Michigan State football team from 1988-91 before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
