The Michigan Wolverines (8-21, 3-15 Big Ten) take on the Ohio State Buckeyes (17-12, 7-11) Sunday. Tip-off from Value City Arena is set for 4 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Michigan vs. Ohio State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.

Michigan was routed 82-52 by the Rutgers Scarlet Knights Thursday while failing to cover as an 8-point road underdog. Michigan shot only 31.6% from the field and 26.1% from 3 while losing the turnover battle 14-5. The Wolverines have lost 6 straight games, going 1-5 against the spread (ATS).

Michigan at Ohio State picks and predictions

Prediction

Ohio State 77, Michigan 65

Moneyline

PASS.

Ohio State (-690) should come away with the win, especially since I don’t see a team as bad as this Michigan squad sweeping the Buckeyes this season. Ohio State is not worth the risk of betting on as such a heavy favorite. Bet on the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

LEAN OHIO STATE -10.5 (-120).

Ohio State has covered the spread in back-to-back outings and is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games. The Buckeyes have covered the spread in each of their last 4 wins vs. Michigan, so if you like them to win, you should also back them to cover ATS.

This is only a lean because the Wolverines have been good ATS in recent matchups vs. Ohio State.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 143.5 (-110).

The Under has hit in 3 of Michigan’s last 4 games overall and is 7-3 for the Wolverines in their last 10. For Ohio State, the Under is 3-2 in its last 5 games. The Under also hit in the last meeting and is 3-2 in the last 5 matchups.

Michigan at Ohio State odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Michigan at Ohio State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Michigan Wolverines (16-13, 10-9 Big Ten) travel to meet the 23rd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (19-9, 12-7) Sunday at Value City Arena in Columbus. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at the Michigan vs. Ohio State odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

The Wolverines have alternated losses and wins across the past eight games, while alternating non-covers and covers over the previous 11 outings. Michigan failed to win or cover its most recent outing, falling 82-71 as a 2-point home favorite to Iowa Thursday.

Ohio State bounced back from a two-game losing skid at Maryland and home to Nebraska by posting an 80-69 home win over Michigan State Thursday. The Buckeyes covered as 5.5-point favorites vs. the Spartans.

In their first head-to-head meeting of the season, Ohio State picked up a 68-57 road victory at Michigan as a 3-point underdog with the Under (141) cashing, also. Ohio State is 4-1 straight up and 4-1 against the spread (ATS) across the past five installments of this series.

Michigan at Ohio State odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Ohio State 71, Michigan 62

Money line

Ohio State (-190) is a little pricey in this rivalry game, costing 1.9 times your potential return.

AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

OHIO STATE -3.5 (-115) is a much better play laying the points in this regular-season finale as OSU looks for a third consecutive win and cover in this series.

Michigan is just 5-8 ATS across the past 13 games overall, including the 11-point home loss to the Buckeyes back on Feb. 12. The Wolverines just haven’t played with any type of consistency, while the Bucks are 13-2 SU at home, including 5-2 ATS across the past seven.

Over/Under

The UNDER 144.5 (-115) is the play here.

Michigan has really struggled to score the basketball lately, going for 71 or fewer points in five of the past nine games, including the first meeting with Ohio State. The Under is also 6-3 in the past nine games for the Buckeyes.

F Zed Key, the team’s third-leading scorer at 8.3 points per game, is also a question mark for this one due to an ankle injury. That could help to keep Ohio State’s scoring down a bit.

Michigan at Ohio State odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Michigan Wolverines at Ohio State Buckeyes odds and lines, with college basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The No. 3 Michigan Wolverines (15-1 overall, 10-1 Big Ten) visit the fourth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (18-4, 12-4) Sunday afternoon. Tip-off for the conference showdown is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Below, we analyze the Michigan-Ohio State college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

This is bigger than your typical Michigan-OSU rivalry game as it involves two of the top four teams in the country.

With a 10-1 conference record, the Wolverines sit atop the Big Ten. Buckeyes (12-4) and Illinois Fighting Illini (11-3) are both a half-game back.

Michigan at Ohio State: Three things to know

  1. This is the only regular-season meeting between the rivals. Ohio State swept Michigan last season, covering the spread in both victories. The Buckeyes won at home 77-63 as 10-point favorites last March and eked out a 61-58 thriller as 3-point road underdogs a month earlier.
  2. Michigan enters on a 4-game win streak. Following their first and only Big Ten loss at Minnesota Jan. 16, the Wolverines claimed double-digit victories vs. Maryland (Jan. 19) and at Purdue (Jan. 22) before COVID-19 issues shut things down for nearly three weeks. They returned Valentine’s Day with a 67-59 win at Wisconsin. Four days later, they defeated Rutgers 71-64 but were backdoored as 9-point home favorites when the Scarlet Knights received a fortunate bounce on a 3-pointer with 9 seconds left. Freshman C Hunter Dickenson leads UM in scoring (14.6 points per game), rebounds (7.8 RPG) and blocks (1.6 BPG).
  3. The Buckeyes, winners of their last 7 games, are the hottest team in the Big Ten. Four of those victories were by double digits and they’ve outscored opponents by 10.5 PPG in the 7-game streak. The most recent win was a 92-82 decision as 4.5-point road favorites at Penn State Thursday. Sophomore F E.J. Liddell, who scored 23 points vs. the Nittany Lions, leads OSU in scoring (15.5 PPG), rebounds (6.6 RPG) and blocks (1.3 BPG).

Michigan at Ohio State: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Ohio State 76, Michigan 70

Money line (ML)

OHIO STATE (+100) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. If the line moves above -110, change the focus to the spread and lay the points, no matter how many.

The Buckeyes are the better team. They’re 10-1 straight-up and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games. Plus, they’re at home.

They’re also more battle-tested, notching wins against the Big Ten’s other top two teams in Illinois and Iowa. Michigan hasn’t played either yet and only has two wins over No. 21 Wisconsin to really brag about.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS unless Ohio State’s ML moves above -110 as mentioned above.

ATS: Michigan 12-4 | Ohio State 14-7-1

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS. My projected score is too close to the O/U line 145.5 (-110) to make a play. However, if you must, the lean is to the OVER.

O/U records: Michigan 7-9 | Ohio State 13-8-1
