The seventh-ranked Michigan Wolverines (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) visit the Maryland Terrapins (5-5, 2-5) Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Below, we look at the Michigan at Maryland odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.
Despite losing to Michigan State in East Lansing a few weeks ago, the Wolverines still have College Football Playoff aspirations as they sit sixth in the CFP rankings.
It’s been a solid season for Michigan, led by senior RB Hassan Haskins and junior QB Cade McNamara. They’ll be asked to lead the way as Michigan looks to avoid being upset at Maryland.
The Terrapins are led by QB Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of former Alabama star and current Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa. Taulia has 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on the season.
The last time these two Big Ten programs met, Michigan claimed a 38-7 road victory in 2019.

Michigan at Maryland odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Michigan 38, Maryland 21
Money line
PASS.
Michigan should come out on top, but at -650, there’s no way I’m putting my money on the Wolverines.
Against the spread
BET MICHIGAN -15.5 (-108) as it’ll be a side looking for style points. Unlike Nebraska and Purdue, Maryland hasn’t kept top-tier opponents even close.
Maryland lost to Michigan State by 19 points (40-21), to Ohio State by 49 (66-17) and to Iowa by 37 (51-14). Even Penn State beat the Terps by 17 (31-14), which would cover this spread. Penn State and Iowa were both home games for the Terrapins.
Maryland ranks 77th in opponents’ rushing yards per game. Haskins should have his way with the Terrapins defense. Expect a big day from Michigan and a relatively easy cover.
Over/Under
“LEAN” to the OVER 57.5 (-110) as Maryland’s offense has shown competence this season.
As for Michigan’s offense, it should have no trouble getting into the 30s given its run-heavy approach. As noted, Maryland’s poor rush defense plays into the Wolverines’ favor.
Michigan also allows 122.5 yards on the ground per game. It does have one of the better defenses in the country, but if Maryland can at least score 17 points, this Over should hit.
