First look: Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills Week 8 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Miami Dolphins (1-6) and Buffalo Bills (4-2) meet Sunday in Week 8 for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Highmark Stadium. Below, we look at the Dolphins vs. Bills odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Miami suffered its sixth consecutive loss, falling at home on a field goal as time expired to the Atlanta Falcons 30-28 in Week 7. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa finished with 291 passing yards and a career-high 4 touchdowns. His last TD pass gave Miami a 28-27 lead (after the extra point) with 2:27 to go, but Atlanta drove 57 yards in nine plays to set up the winning kick. Miami didn’t cover the spread as a 1.5-point underdog and the Over (47.5) hit by 1/2 point.

Buffalo is coming off a bye week following a 34-31 loss at the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football in Week 6. The Bills, who were 6-point favorites, came up short on a quarterback sneak on 4th-and-1 at the Titans 3-yard line with 12 seconds left when they could have tied it with a field goal.

First look: Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins Week 7 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Atlanta Falcons (2-3) will look to make it two straight wins when they visit the Miami Dolphins (1-5) Sunday. Kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium will be at 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Falcons vs. Dolphins odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

The Falcons are coming off a Week 6 bye, which comes after they beat the New York Jets 27-20 in London, England, in Week 5. They’ve won two of their last three game, though their only victories this season have come against the Jets and New York Giants. They’ve allowed the second-most points per game and have already given up 11 touchdown passes in coverage in just five games.

The Dolphins have endured a difficult season, regressing from the year they had in 2020. They just dropped their fifth straight game since winning their opener, losing on a last-second field goal to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London – Jacksonville’s first win since Week 1 of last season. The Dolphins are 29th in points per game, 29th in points allowed per game and 30th in yards on offense and defense.

Falcons at Dolphins head-to-head

It’s been four years since the Falcons and Dolphins squared off. The Dolphins have won two straight against Atlanta, most recently beating the Falcons 20-17 in 2017.

All-time, the Dolphins lead the series 9-4, winning the first four games from 1970-1983. They’ve also outscored the Falcons 270-240 in the all-time series, which is an average score of 20.8-18.5, so it’s been a fairly low-scoring affair when these teams meet. In fact, there have only been three instances where a team scored at least 30 points, twice by the Dolphins and once by Atlanta.

First look: Miami Dolphins vs. Jacksonville Jaguars odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Miami Dolphins vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Week 6 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Miami Dolphins (1-4) meet the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5) Sunday in London for Week 6 tilt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET. Below, we look at the Dolphins vs. Jaguars odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Miami got truck-sticked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 45-17 as an 11-point road underdog in Week 5. The Dolphins were outgained 558-301 in total yardage, were less efficient on third down (72.7-28.6%) and possessed the ball for just 22:53.

Jacksonville didn’t fare much better in its 37-19 Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans as a 4.5-point home underdog. The Jaguars actually outgained the Titans in total yardage but had a minus-two turnover differential and 30% third-down conversion rate.

Dolphins vs. Jaguars head-to-head

Miami is playing its fifth NFL London game and first since 2015. The Dolphins are 1-3 overall and 2-2 ATS in those games with an average score of 15.5-18.5 and 1-3 O/U record.

This will be Jacksonville’s NFL-record eighth appearance in the London game. The Jaguars are 3-4 overall and ATS in London with an average score of 22.3-26.9 and a 5-2 O/U record.

The Dolphins plastered the Jaguars 31-13 on Thursday Night Football in Week 3 last season as 2.5-point road underdogs.

However, Miami was led by former QB Ryan Fitzpatrick who signed with the Washington Football Team this offseason, and Jacksonville turned over its whole coaching staff and drafted QB Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

First look: Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 5 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Miami Dolphins (1-3) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) meet for a Week 5 intrastate contest 1 p.m. ET Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Below, we look at the Dolphins vs. Buccaneers odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Miami was held to 203 total yards in a 27-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, and the Dolphins will cross the Sunshine State with a not-so-sunny three-game losing skid in tow. Dolphins bettors will be hoping an against-the-spread trend follows: Miami is 7-1 ATS across its last eight games after straight-up losses.

The Buccaneers squeaked by the New England Patriots 19-17 Sunday with a late 48-yard field goal by PK Ryan Succop. The victory marked a bounce-back after a Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Tampa Bay returns home where it has won four in a row dating back to last season. The Bucs have averaged 34.5 points per game over those four victories.

First look: Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins odds and lines

Looking at Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins Week 4 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Miami Dolphins (1-2) host the Indianapolis Colts (0-3) Sunday in Week 4 at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Colts vs. Dolphins odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Indianapolis put up an offensive dud in a 25-16 Week 3 road loss at the Tennessee Titans due in part to Colts QB Carson Wentz playing on two sprained ankles. Wentz suffered the injuries in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams and was questionable to play up until kickoff.

The Colts failed to cover the spread as 4.5-point road underdogs despite being plus-3 in turnover differential. Wentz was 19-for-37 passing for 194 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions against a weak Tennessee defense.

Miami lost in a 31-28 overtime nail-biter at the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3 but covered as a 3.5-point underdog. It was backup QB Jacoby Brissett‘s first start for the Dolphins.

Brissett completed 32 of 49 passes for 215 yards without a TD or INT but did send the game into overtime with a 1-yard TD run in the final seconds of regulation.

Colts at Dolphins head-to-head

The Colts and Dolphins last met in 2019 when Miami went into Indianapolis in Week 10 and upset the Colts 16-12 as 11-point underdogs in Dolphins’ head coach Brian Flores’ first year on the job.

Coincidently, that was the year former Colts QB Andrew Luck abruptly retired and Brissett took over the starting role in Indianapolis. Despite that Brissett started 15 of the 16 regular-season games for Indianapolis the tilt against Miami was his lone absence.
