Through 30 minutes of his collegiate career as a starter, Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz has exceeded even the highest expectations that Badger fans had. It feels strange to take in, but this Badger team has done their damage through the air while struggling on the ground (by their lofty standards) through one half of football.
Mertz has yet to throw an incompletion in 14 pass attempts and has tossed four touchdowns to three different receivers. Even Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is noticing what Wisconsin’s highest-ranked QB recruit in modern history is doing:
