Max Payne fans react to remake announcement

Remedy’s iconic series is coming back, and fans are going wild.

Nobody could have predicted that Max Payne was coming back, but it’s happening. No, really! There was a remake announcement on Thursday and everything!

Yes, Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are getting the remake treatment from none other than Remedy, the studio that made both games. It’s a dream come true for fans, as most are going feral all over social media. Hard to blame them, though. Everyone assumed this series would never return. Rockstar Games owns the license to the franchise and didn’t do anything with it since Max Payne 3 came out in 2013.

Thankfully, a remedy is coming for that unfortunate inactivity. The Remedy. Do you get it? Why are you booing me?

Anyways, Max Payne fans are eating well. Take a look at some of the best reactions below.

Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes are coming from Remedy and Rockstar Games

The iconic third-person shooters will return in a big way for modern platforms.

Max Payne and its sequel are getting the remake treatment for modern platforms.

On Wednesday, Remedy and Rockstar Games announced that Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are being remade for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Remedy was the studio that made both titles back then, which CEO Tero Virtala briefly touched on in the announcement.

Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of everyone at Remedy, and we know the millions of fans worldwide feel the same,” Virtala said in a press release. “We’re hugely excited to be working with our partners at Rockstar Games once again for the chance to bring the story, action and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games back to players in new ways.”
