Prediction
Wizards 117, Mavs 114
Moneyline (ML)
The Mavericks (-143) are slight moneyline favorites despite being on the road, but they remain without their best player in Donic. While Washington hasn’t been a great home team this season (11-12), the WIZARDS (+120) present some value on the moneyline. Take Washington at home over the banged-up Mavericks Friday night.
Line/Against the Spread (ATS)
The WIZARDS (+2.5, -106) are slight home underdogs in this contest despite covering the spread in six of their last eight home games. While Dallas is an impressive 4-0-1 against the spread in its last five road games, the Mavs aren’t as healthy now as they have been for most of the season. Look for this to be a close game, but for the Wizards to cover the spread at home Friday night by losing by no more than 2 points or winning outright.
Over/Under (O/U)
The total for this matchup is set at 234.5 points, which feels just about right considering both offenses average about 116 points per game this season. With the Mavericks likely missing Donic and Porzingis, it’s tough to see them reaching their usual average. I like for this to be a high scoring contest, but for the UNDER 234.5 (-115) to hit in Washington.
