After demolishing Baylor 96-70 on Nov. 29, the Golden Eagles have been less then stellar. They lost 80-77 at home to Wisconsin as a favorite on Dec. 3 and then did not cover as 18.5-point favorites in a 90-78 win against North Carolina Central on Tuesday.
The Fighting Irish were a slight underdog when they beat Michigan State 70-52 on Nov. 30, but then lost as a 6.5-point favorites to a bad Syracuse team 62-61 and failed to cover as 14-point favorites against an overmatched Boston University, winning 81-75.

PASS.
If you feel Notre Dame will win, this is the way to wager. Marquette is better and despite being on the road, will win and cover. Therefor passing on the ML is the way to play this game.
Against the spread
BET MARQUETTE -1.5 (-105).
Marquette plays to its opponents. It beat Baylor by 26 and lost by 3 to Wisconsin. Notre Dame is the opposite. They beat the teams they should and lose to the better teams like Marquette.
With this game being in South Bend, this could backfire. But I like Marquette to cover -1.5 by quite a bit here. This is my favorite play in this game.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 145.5 (-115)
Combined this season, these 2 teams are 10-8-1 to the Over. But this game will be a bit different with both playing keep-away for parts of this game. There may be some streaks of points, but there will also be far too many dry spells for this game to confidently go over. This is not a strong play for me. But 145.5 is just slightly too high to make a confident play on. So, I will instead go Under 145.5 (-115).
