• Kershaw turned in his first quality start of 2020 last time out on the road against the Los Angeles Angels, allowing just one solo home run and two walks with six strikeouts in seven innings in a 7-4 win.
• He last faced the Mariners on Aug. 19, 2018, allowing one earned run, four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in a 12-1 road win.

Kikuchi has posted an 0-1 record, 5.28 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 16 strikeouts in three starts across 15 1/3 innings.

• The Dodgers are 5-0 in their past five games against a left-handed starting pitcher, while the Mariners are 16-38 in their previous 54 vs. LHP.

Moneyline (ML)

Wednesday’s game was case in point why you never bet a giant favorite on the moneyline. The Dodgers were laying -223 and lost 6-4. In the first three meetings of this home-and-home, L.A. has only outscored Seattle 17-16. The Dodgers (-250) are even bigger favorites in this one. AVOID.

New to sports betting? A $10 bet on Los Angeles will net a profit of just $4 if it wins, while a winning $10 wager on Seattle (+220) will return a profit of $22.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The DODGERS (-1.5, -154) are going to bounce back, and this is the play, although there is still rather moderate juice. L.A. isn’t going to get swept in Seattle, although the way these games have been close this week, there is some risk. So, make it a small-unit play only.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 8.5 (-110) is the best play of all potential wagers in this one, as the M’s aren’t plating many runs against Kershaw. Plus, the Under is 7-3 in the past 10 against lefties for the Dodgers, and 7-3 in the past 10 against southpaws for the M’s.

Walker has managed a 1-2 record, 4.05 ERA and 1.20 WHIP over 20 innings with 17 strikeouts and seven walks across his four starts.

• Walker has struggled at times, but he also has two quality starts over his past three starts, including just one unearned run, six hits and a walk across six innings in a no-decision at Texas last time out on Aug. 12.
• Walker has yielded only two home runs in 20 innings so far this season.

The Dodgers (-223) topped the Mariners (+200) in the two games in Los Angeles earlier this week. However, late-inning heroics were needed in Monday’s 11-9 win, and L.A. just edged lowly Seattle 2-1 Tuesday night. As such, there is just too much risk, as the M’s have matched up well somehow. AVOID.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The DODGERS (-1.5, -143) are a risky play on the run line, especially since the Mariners (+1.5, +120) played them surprisingly well in Los Angeles in both games earlier this week. However, Walker is shaky, and there is a lot less risk playing the heavy favorite on the run line as opposed to the moneyline.

Over/Under (O/U)

T-Mobile Park features a ballpark factor of 0.783, which ranks 22nd in the majors. That means it is a pitcher-friendly park. The under is 13-2-1 in the past 16 at home for the M’s against a southpaw starter, and 12-4 in their previous 16 at home overall. While it’s been all over all the time for L.A. this season, lean to the UNDER 9.5 (-110) in this one.

The Dodgers (-278) are just too expensive on the moneyline, as you cannot have long-term success betting heavy favorites. For instance, let’s say you hit this winner 70 percent of the time. Hitting at a 70 percent clip in betting is outstanding, except you would be in the hole -$482.1 betting $100 over a 100-game span. Needless to say, AVOID.

New to sports betting? A $10 bet on Los Angeles will net a $3.60 profit if it wins, while a winning $10 wager on Seattle (+240) will return a profit of $24.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The default run line is listed as Dodgers (-2, -115), but there is no sense in potentially playing a winner into a push, and very rarely do bettors use a flat two line. Use the alternate line of DODGERS (-1.5, -139) and enjoy the win, paying just a little more juice. L.A. is on a five-game winning streak, with four of those victories coming by three or more runs. If anything, take a chance on the Dodgers (-2.5, +100) to win by at least three and take plus-money.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 10 (-110) is worth a very small-unit play in this one. The Dodgers have hit the over in four in a row, but the Mariners offense cannot be trusted to help out. They have averaged just 1.8 runs per contest during their six-game losing skid.
