OKTAGON MMA announced during Saturday’s OKTAGON 58 event in Germany that seven-fight UFC middleweight veteran Muradov has signed a deal to return to the organization where he had his final pre-UFC fight (via X):

Muradov (26-7) has yet to offer an explanation as to what led to the end of his UFC tenure. He earned victories in four of his seven fights with the company, and his most recent appearance came at UFC Fight Night 235 in February when he matchup with Aliaskhab-Khizriev ended just 11 seconds into the first round due to an accidental eye poke.

It was then expected that Muradov, 34, would fight Michel Pereira at UFC 301 in May, but he was forced to withdraw from the card and seemingly severed ties with the UFC.

Now Muradov, who gained some of his traction as the first MMA fighter signed to Floyd Mayweather’s The Money Team, returns to OKTAGON MMA, where he’s gone 2-0 with a pair of knockout victories.

A date and opponent for Muradov’s return to OKTAGON MMA were not announced.

LAS VEGAS – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 235 event took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay totaling $170,500.

The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

UFC Fight Night 235 took place at the UFC Apex. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout tiers, which appropriate the money generated by Venum’s multi-year sponsorship with the UFC, fighters are paid based on their total number of UFC bouts, as well as Zuffa-era WEC fights (January 2007 and later) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts (April 2351 and later). Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance; 4-5 bouts get $4,500; 6-10 bouts get $6,000; 11-15 bouts earn $11,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000; and 21 bouts and more get $21,000. Additionally, champions earn $42,000 while title challengers get $32,000.

In addition to experience-based pay, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.

The UFC record for quickest no contest was tied Saturday in Las Vegas due to an unfortunate eye poke.

[autotag]Aliaskhab Khizriev[/autotag] vs. [autotag]Makhmud Muradov[/autotag] only lasted 11 seconds Saturday at UFC Fight Night 235.

Neither fighter walked away the winner.

The middleweight bout on the main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas tied the promotion’s record for quickest no contest after Khizriev (14-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) poked Muradov (26-8 MMA, 4-2 UFC) in the eye.

Referee Herb Dean called time and brought in the cageside physician. Through an interpreter, Muradov told Dean he couldn’t see. His claim was supported by significant and instant swelling around his eye.

The situation frustrated Muradov, who spiked his mouthpiece into the canvas before Dean even declared the bout finished. Eventually, Dean confirmed the inevitable and waved off the contest.

The no contest ties Kevin Casey vs. Antonio Carlos Junior from UFC Fight Night 80 in 2015. That bout also ended in 11 seconds due to an eye poke.
