Broncos vs. Raiders series history: Denver aims to snap 8-game losing streak

The Broncos and Raiders will meet for the 130th time on Sunday. Denver will aim to snap an eight-game losing streak against their rival.

It’s rivalry week for the Denver Broncos as they are set to face the Las Vegas Raiders for the first time in 2024 in Week 5.

This will be the 130th all-time meeting of the teams, as the Raiders lead the series 73-54-2 against the Broncos. Denver looks to come in hungry against Las Vegas, as the Raiders have won eight straight games in this matchup. In those eight victories, Las Vegas has outscored the Broncos 218-149.

The last game played between these two teams came at the end of 2023, as the Broncos featured quarterback Jarrett Stidham under center, while the Raiders started then-rookie Aidan O’Connell. Stidham finished 20-of-34 for 272 yards, one touchdown and one interception in a 27-14 loss.

This week, Denver rookie quarterback Bo Nix looks to win his third straight game after back-to-back wins versus the Buccaneers and Jets on the road.

The Broncos will wear their iconic throwback jerseys, which hopefully will bring them luck as they celebrate the 1977 team that went to Super Bowl XXII. That year, the “Orange Crush” and the “M and M” connection of quarterback Craig Morton and wide receiver Haven Moses beat the Raiders 20-17 in the AFC Championship.

Maybe Denver can “make those miracles happen” one more time.
