The Lakers (-625) are big moneyline favorites and for good reason. Los Angeles has won nine straight games, and is an incredible 16-4 at home this year. Orlando (+450), on the other hand, has been a bad road team this season, winning just six of 19 contests away from home. With a $10 bet on the Lakers to win returning a profit of just $1.60, this draws a PASS.
Line/Against the Spread (ATS)
The Lakers (-10.5, -115) open this contest as double-digit favorites at home over the MAGIC (+10.5, -106). While Orlando’s overall record has been subpar this season, the Magic have actually fared well against the spread as of late, covering in six of their last seven games. With Davis’ status still up in the air, I like the Magic to keep this somewhat close late into the fourth quarter.
Over/Under (O/U)
The total for this matchup is set at 212.5 points, which feels far too low. While Orlando has the worst offense in the NBA, the Lakers do not. Los Angeles has averaged nearly 125 points per game in their last four contests and should have no problem getting well over 110 Wednesday. As long as the Magic can score near 100 points, the OVER 212.5 (-106) should hit with ease.
