Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Orlando Magic (17-9) and Milwaukee Bucks (12-11) meet Tuesday in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. Tip-off from Fiserv Forum is set for 7 p.m. ET (TNT). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Magic vs. Bucks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; split 2-2 last season

The Magic are coming off a 115-110 win as 2-point favorites vs. the visiting Phoenix Suns Sunday with the Over (214.5) hitting. G Jalen Suggs scored 14 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter for Orlando, which trailed by as many as 12 points.

The Bucks failed to cover as 6-point favorites in a 118-113 victory at the Brooklyn Nets Sunday while the Over (216) cashed. Milwaukee is 1-2 straight up and against the spread (ATS) over its last 3 games.

Orlando went 3-1 ATS vs. Milwaukee last season, with the Over/Under (O/U) going 2-2. In the final meeting April 14, Orlando won 113-88 as a 6-point home favorite while the Under (216) hit. Magic F Paolo Banchero led all scorers with 26 points, but he’ll be out Tuesday with an oblique injury.

Magic at Bucks picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 110, Magic 109

Moneyline

The Bucks (-300) are the healthier team and are at home, but I question how seriously they’re taking the In-Season Tournament. Milwaukee’s goal this season should be to stay healthy in the regular season and make a push for the NBA Finals.

Do I really want to lay -300 on it, in a game that the young Magic will likely care more about winning?

PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

The Magic were available at +9 Sunday night, so this line has moved considerably in their direction. However, I would still be comfortable taking 6.5 with Orlando.

The Bucks core — outside of G Damian Lillard — has already won a championship, and I don’t see how winning the NBA Cup this season would provide any extra motivation for such a veteran team.

Orlando, on the other hand, is full of young players who have yet to win rings or MVPs, so winning this NBA Cup would be a big deal for them. If you crunch the stats, you’ll likely say this spread is perfect as is, but I believe the Magic’s lack of accomplishments gives them a motivational edge Tuesday.

BET MAGIC +6.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Magic allow just 103.3 points per game, which is first in the NBA, but they’re still 6-4 O/U in their last 10. The market has been pricing their totals slightly lower than they should be lately, but it’s a marginal edge; the spread is the better play.

LEAN OVER 215.5 (-105).

Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Orlando Magic (46-33) square off against the Milwaukee Bucks (48-31) Wednesday with tip-off from Fiserv Forum set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Magic vs. Bucks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Tied 1-1

The Magic didn’t have a rabbit in their hat in a 118-106 loss in Houston Tuesday night. They were 2.5-point favorites in the setback. F Paolo Banchero had 21 points, 7 boards and 6 assists. The Magic are in striking distance of moving from 4th to 2nd if they can win this game. They trail the Bucks by 2 games with 3 to go.

Milwaukee bucked up to hand the Boston Celtics just their 17th loss of the season Tuesday night. It came at a cost, though, as F Giannis Antetokounmpo pulled up lame grabbing his calf in the 3rd quarter. He’s out Wednesday night and could be out until the playoffs. Six Bucks were in double figures in the 104-91 victory. Strangely, G Damian Lillard had just 12 points, and G Patrick Beverley led the way with 20 points and 10 boards.

Magic at Bucks and predictions

Prediction

Magic 108, Bucks 101

Moneyline

Both teams are on a back-to-back, and the Bucks have the advantage of being at home. However, they could be prone to a hangover effect after beating the beast in the East while losing their best player.

It’s time to pay the piper Wednesday. It’s slightly cheaper on the spread, so head there.

In the meantime, you can SGP MAGIC ML + PAOLO BANCHERO 18 POINTS (+115) for a plus-money return. Banchero has 23 and 26 points against Milwaukee this season, and he won’t have Giannis to contest his shots.

Against the spread

The MAGIC -1.5 (-110) is the way to go here. They took out a Lillard-less Bucks team in Orlando 112-91 and lost by just 4 in Milwaukee Dec. 21.

Over/Under

The Bucks are 5-5 O/U over their last 10, and Orlando is 4-6. The Over is 5-5 in the last 10 meetings. With both teams playing on consecutive nights, I’ll take the UNDER 215.5 (-115).

Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The struggling Orlando Magic (4-12) are on the road to face the Milwaukee Bucks (8-8) Saturday for the first of two straight games between the teams. Tip-off from Fiserv Forum is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Magic vs. Bucks odds and lines, and make our expertface NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Magic’s road trip has included a 129-111 loss at the Atlanta Hawks, a 104-98 win over the New York Knicks and most recently a 115-113 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. They have six players scoring in double digits on average, but their leading scorer is G Cole Anthony at 19.6 points per game.

The Bucks have won two games in a row and four of their last six, but following last season’s championship run, they have not strung together a win streak of longer than two games. F Giannis Antetokounmpo is still playing at an elite level as he averages 27.5 points, 11.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.

However, they are scoring less and allowing more points than last season. The Bucks are 16th in scoring (107.2 ppg) and 20th in scoring defense (108.0 ppg allowed).

Magic at Bucks odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 110, Magic 101

Money line

PASS on the money line. The Bucks have yet to win three in a row this season, but the Magic have not had anything less than a two-game losing skid before getting another win.

Orlando is 2-10 in conference games, with their only two wins coming against the Knicks.

The Bucks should have no problem with this game.

Against the spread

Orlando and Milwaukee are both 6-10 ATS.

The Magic covered the spread in their last two games. It was the first time all season they have covered the spread in two consecutive games.

The Bucks have failed to cover the spread in their last four games and have not covered a double-digit spread yet this season. The Magic are 3-3 ATS with a double-digit spread.

Take MAGIC +10.5 (-107).

Over/Under

Orlando is 9-7 O/U on the season and the Bucks are 4-12 O/U. Only one team has had fewer games hit the Over than Milwaukee and only two of their last 13 went Over the projected total.

The Magic have alternated the Over and the Under in their last five games.

Take UNDER 214.5 (-107).

Magic at Bucks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 120, Magic 111

Money line (ML)

Betting the money line doesn’t make sense in this game unless you think the Magic can pull off the straight-up upset win.

Considering they only have three wins in their last 13 games and two of them came against teams below them in the standings, it seems highly unlikely.

PASS on the money line and go with the spread and total.

Against the spread (ATS)

Despite one of the best records in the NBA, the Bucks are not good against the spread. They are 31-37 ATS this season. Orlando is 31-35-2.

The Bucks have not covered a double-digit spread since March 11. However, the Magic have lost by at least 10 points in each of their last three games.

Still, with that large a spread, LEAN MAGIC +14 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

This feels like a lock. The Bucks are No. 2 in the league in Over percentage at 58.2%. Orlando is No. 6 at 55.2%.

Twelve of the last 15 games for the Magic have gone Over. They have allowed 122 or more points in their last three games. The Bucks have put up 124 or more in their last four.

Take OVER 229.5 POINTS (-110).
