Watch: Jaycee Horn surprised by his low man coverage rating in ‘Madden 22’

Watch Horn react to finding out his man coverage rating for Madden 22.

The Panthers picked South Carolina cornerback Jaycee Horn in the draft with any eye on fundamentally changing how they play defense. Specifically, Horn will enable defensive coordinator Phil Snow to play a lot more man coverage.

It may take a while for the world to catch on to Horn’s promise, though. Watch Horn react to finding out his man coverage rating for Madden 22.

At least the ratings change in-sesaon now, so if Horn hits the ground running that can get a boost.

Part of Chargers CB Asante Samuel Jr.’s Madden NFL 22 rating revealed

Asante Samuel Jr. correctly guessed the specific attribute.

EA Sports began unveiling some of the attribute ratings for ‘Madden NFL 22’ for a handful of rookies, including Chargers cornerback Asante Samuel Jr.

In a mini clip that was shared to the creator’s Twitter, Samuel Jr. was tasked with guessing his speed before it was revealed.

Samuel Jr. guessed 92 overall and he happened to be correct. In fact, he was the only one that got theirs right.

Samuel Jr. ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, but he is field fast, showing that he can stay on the hip of any receiver that’s he is lined up across from and come up on any ball thrown in the snap of a finger.

The rest of Madden 22 Rookie Ratings are set to be released tomorrow, July 26, 2021.

Madden NFL ’22 gives “Dawg Pound” a unique home field advantage

Madden NFL ’22 show the Dawg Pound very little respect with their new homefield advantage.

The Cleveland Browns are one of the most historical franchises in NFL history. Madden NFL is the NFL football video game and has been for some time.

Madden first came out as “John Madden Football” back in 1989 and transitioned to the “Madden NFL” name a few years later.

Since then, Madden has been the primary outlet for video game players to enjoy the NFL. It has developed over the years with innovations, some loved and some hated. There have been times that a new Madden release was disappointing due to the lack of innovation.

In the end, Madden is a cultural icon that has drawn in the casual football fan as well as the hardcore fan. The build-up to the release each year usually brings excitement with some trepidation. With internet-connected devices, gaming systems have some ability to fix problems following the release but the majority of the game is set upon release.

This year, Madden NFL ’22 has started to market its release with some of the new or updated features. One, in particular, has drawn a lot of intrigue from fans. This year, Madden NFL is giving each homefield a particular advantage. Some make a lot of sense while others show that the gaming franchise was grasping for straws.

For the Browns, the “Dawg Pound” will give the team a very particular advantage:

For an easier read, here is the Browns specific picture from the above tweet:

A very particular homefield advantage that will only be helpful when the opposing team gets into the redzone against the Browns, are passing the ball and only the receiver that is the hot route for that play. Added to that is that there is just “a chance to fail” and this advantage isn’t a particularly strong one.

For such a great fanbase, which has been loud despite the team’s constant struggles before the 2020 season, this advantage feels like a slap in the face. Washington, for example, has the advantage that their opponent has a more difficult time changing direction throughout the game. Green Bay has three different advantages.

While quality teams get the obvious benefit here, it is important to note that a homefield advantage is primarily based on the fanbase. The Cleveland fanbase is the greatest in the NFL and, perhaps, all of sports. Madden NFL ’22 does not give the Dawg Pound appropriate credit.

Packers will have impressive homefield advantages in ‘Madden NFL 22’

Good luck beating the Packers at Lambeau Field in the new “Madden NFL 22” video game.

The Green Bay Packers have one of the best homefield advantages in the new “Madden NFL 22” video game.

The new mechanic will provide each team specific bonuses when playing games at home and controlling the “Momentum Meter,” another new gameplay device in “Madden NFL 22.” The Packers’ advantage, nicknamed “Go Pack Go! The Frozen Tundra,” will give Green Bay a major momentum advantage and significantly hinder the visiting team in two important ways at Lambeau Field.

The Packers will gain more momentum while the away team gains less. With the new “Momentum Meter” added to the gameplay this year, the momentum swing at Lambeau Field in favor of the Packers could be all that more important.

The visiting team will also get tired faster and have a harder time changing direction.

A faster rate of fatigue will mean less effective opposing players over 60 minutes of gameplay. And those players will also have more issues changing direction, a nod to the problems visiting players often have playing in the elements – like snow – at Lambeau Field (see: the Tennessee Titans last December).

Here is how EA Sports explained the new mechanic: “Each NFL team is equipped with one extra unique M-Factor that will only be available when that team is defending its own home turf. For teams playing at home, their Home Field Advantage allows them one extra M-Factor to unlock via momentum, but also will be the first to be disabled if the road team captures the momentum first.”

Good luck beating the Packers at Lambeau Field, gamers.

Every NFL team’s home-field advantage in ‘Madden 22’

EA Sports released their home-field advantages for all 32 NFL teams. Check out where the toughest places are to play in Madden NFL 22.

Home-field advantage makes all the difference in the NFL. There is a reason teams have consternation all week long before they play in venues such as Arrowhead Stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, and Lumen Field, regardless of what the team’s record may be.

EA Sports incorporated the concept of home-field advantage into their latest edition to the Madden NFL franchise. In Madden 22, there are home-field advantages for all 32 NFL teams.

Some create confusion. Some tucker out opponents quicker. Some pour on the momentum from a 55-gallon drum. Every venue presents its own challenge.

Here is a look at all of the home-field advantages in the upcoming Madden installment.

Check out Chargers’ home-field advantage in ‘Madden 22’

Find out what EA Sports did in attempt to enhance their gameplay with Madden NFL 22.

EA Sports’ Madden NFL 22 is going to hit the shelves soon.

This year, one of the biggest additions to the gameplay will be the home-field advantages for each NFL stadium.

With this feature, each of the 32 stadiums will have a unique effect on gameplay in the video game.

While the Chargers have yet to experience fans in SoFi Stadium yet, their home-field advantage is called “Bolt Up.” With this, Los Angeles gains bonus momentum for yardage gains when the offense has the ball.

It may seem generic, but at least the developers of the game are attempting to enhance the gameplay.

Here’s a look at Los Angeles’ AFC West rivals’ home-field advantages:

Broncos – “Mile High” (Away team has less stamina for plays)

Raiders – “Just Win Baby” (When winning, home team has increased momentum gain/fatigue recovery)

Chiefs – “Home of the Chiefs” (Away team’s audibles have a chance of failing)

Those purchasing the MVP or Dynasty Edition of Madden 22 will have the opportunity to play the game on Aug. 17 while the standard version will be released three days later on Aug. 20.

Lions earn special ‘Motor City’ boost in Madden 22 game

The newest “Madden” wrinkle gives each team a unique home field attribute boost

Playing as the Detroit Lions in the Motor City will mean something tangible in the latest edition of the popular Madden Football video game series from EA Sports.

Lions players will get a boost in their acceleration attribute when playing home games at Ford Field in Madden 22. The developers have added a unique home field advantage boost for every team, and the Lions get faster acceleration, befitting the team’s home in the stadium named after the maker of the Mustang.

It’s only a slight boost but every little bit helps when you’re trying to beat a trash-talking 11-year-old who plays 12 hours a day.

Every team got its own boost. Here are some of the others released via social media:

Home field advantages for each NFC North team in Madden NFL 22

The Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFC North will have some interesting home field advantages in Madden 22.

Madden games have often been criticized for a lack of new features or developments year over year.

This year, however, the franchise added an interesting aspect to Madden 22. Each NFL team gets a home field advantage. That means either the home team benefits and/or the away team is disadvantaged depending on which home stadium is being used in the game.

Minnesota has quite the upper hand in real life when it comes to U.S. Bank Stadium. Recently, U.S. Bank Stadium was named the best home field in the NFL, per our friends at Touchdown Wire.

The NFC North will have some interesting home field advantages in Madden 22. Here they are:

The 5 most ridiculous home-field advantages in Madden 22

Madden jumped the shark this time

We’re inching towards a new NFL season, which means it’s time for EA Sports to rollout new features for the Madden NFL 22 video game slated to hit the market on August 16.

One of the features that EA Sports has put into the game this year is unique home-field advantages for the teams across the league. Not only are the home-field advantages different, but they also vary in how much of an impediment they’ll be to the visiting team.

Here are the five home-field advantages that appears to be a serious advantage for the home team, ranging from realistic to ideas that will have Madden players turning off their controllers in the middle of a game.

Check out the Rams’ home-field advantage in ‘Madden 22’

When playing at SoFi Stadium, the Rams will have a slight home-field advantage in “Madden NFL 22.”

The Los Angeles Rams have played one season at SoFi Stadium, but they don’t yet know what their home-field advantage will be like at the $5 billion building. Fans weren’t allowed to attend Rams home games last year, forcing the team to play each of its eight home games in an empty stadium.

In “Madden NFL 22,” each team will have at least a slight advantage when playing at home. For example, at Lumen Field in Seattle, the away team’s play art will be difficult to read. At SoFi Stadium, the Rams don’t gain a huge edge, but stops on defense will give them some added momentum.

EA released the home-field advantage for every team in the NFL Thursday and for the Rams, it’s as follows: “Home team gains bonus momentum for defensive stops.”

It’s not the best advantage, but it beats the Cowboys’: opponent punt distances are shortened when kicking across the 50-yard line. Players won’t notice that much, to be honest.

At least EA is trying to add elements to the game to make it more realistic, but some of the home-field advantages simply miss the mark – or flat-out take a shot at the team, like Washington’s “unstable ground” edge for FedExField’s terrible playing surface.
