Penn State’s 2024 football commitment tracker

An updated look at Penn State’s Class of 2024 following its most recent commitment.

Penn State pulled in a terrific Class of 2022 and got started with its Class of 2023 with some nice additions. But the work is already underway for the Class of 2024. Penn State received its first commitment to the Class of 2024 in January 2022 with some help on the offensive line in the commitment of in-state offensive tackle Cooper Cousins.

We’ll keep track of every commitment to Penn State’s Class of 2024 with this updated commitment tracker. Of course, this being the world of college football recruiting, there are bound to be some decommitments and twists and turns along the way, but we’ll keep track of those as well should they arise.

This tracker will be updated as necessary, with the most recent update being made on April 29, 2023.

Penn State recruiting profile: Luke Reynolds could be a hidden gem at tight end

Luke Reynolds will be a fun tight-end prospect to watch develop in Penn State’s Class of 2024.

Penn State has developed a nice track record of developing tight ends over the years, and Class of 2024 commit [autotag]Luke Reynolds[/autotag] could be a player well worth paying attention to in the coming years. Reynolds will bring some good size to the tight-end position and should blossom in the role once he arrives on campus.

Reynolds has played quarterback and tight end in high school, but Penn State will focus on developing and utilizing Reynolds at the tight end position to best take advantage of his size. Also because the quarterback position should be in good hands with Drew Allar in place as the team’s quarterback in 2024 and, perhaps, 2025. So Reynolds will follow more of the mold of [autotag]Tyler Warren[/autotag], another tight end with quarterback experience who has become a solid contributor to the offensive game plan.

Here is a look at Penn State Class of 2024 commit Luke Reynolds.

Penn State receives commitment from Class of 2024 tight end

Penn State added a commitment to its Class of 2024 one week after extending an offer.

Penn State’s recruiting class for 2024 increased by one on Saturday. Tight end [autotag]Luke Reynolds[/autotag], from Massachusetts, announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions with a post on his Twitter account.

Reynolds is a consensus three-star recruit according to the various recruiting networks. Reynolds committed to the Nittany Lions one week after receiving an offer on a visit to Penn State’s campus. And he isn’t the typical tight end either. Much like another Penn State tight end, Reynolds will be making a bit of a transition to the position as he arrives.

Reynolds is a 6-4, 215-pound quarterback for Cheshire Academy in Connecticut, so he’ll be moved to tight end to take advantage of his size and frame while Penn State has its quarterback situation pretty much settled with [autotag]Drew Allar[/autotag].

If this sounds familiar, it is because Penn State has also morphed Tyler Warren into a tight end after being a quarterback as well. And if Reynolds makes the transition as successfully as Warren has, then Penn State should be in good shape at tight end in the coming years.

Reynolds is the fifth commitment for Penn State in the Class of 2024 and the first non-offensive line player in the class.
