LEAN DODGERS (-200) because we are getting the worst of the number since they opened up as -169 favorites.

The Dodgers are 18-11 against lefty starters, while the Angels are 11-14 against lefties. The Dodgers outrank the Angels vs. left-handed pitching in wRC+ (109-87), wOBA (.321-.290), ISO (.158-.121), BB/K rate (0.45-0.38) and hard-hit rate (32.4-30.7%), according to FanGraphs.

I’d only BET A HALF UNIT on the DODGERS (-200) if at all since we are late to the party. If your standard unit is $100, then risk $50 to earn a $25 profit.

Run line/Against the spread

LEAN DODGERS -1.5 (-115) only because I hate paying a tax for RL favorites, but this is one of the few spots I’m OK with it.

The Dodgers have a 3-phase edge over the Angels and the Dodgers’ lineup and bullpen are significantly better.

This is my preferred play in this game because all 3 of the Dodgers’ wins vs. the Angels have been by at least 2 runs.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 8.5 (-115) only because the O/U situational trends don’t provide much of a clue and the Dodgers’ RL is my favorite bet in this game.

There’s a “pros vs. Joe’s” scenario in the betting market for the total since more than 60% of the money is on the Under whereas roughly 80% of the bets placed are on Over 8.5 (-107), per Pregame.com. It’s wise to follow the money since sharps wager a lot bigger units than you or I.

RHP Jose Quintana is the projected starting pitcher for the Angels. He is 0-3 with a 10.59 ERA, 2.24 WHIP, 14.8 K/9 and 7.4 BB/9 over 17 IP through 5 starts.

Quintana has recorded plenty of strikeouts, whiffing 28 batters in just 17 innings. That’s great, but he has also issued 14 walks while serving up three homers while lasting just 17 innings.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The DODGERS -1.5 (-115) are a much better play behind Bauer in this pitching mismatch. Quintana has been too wild, as he has struck out plenty of batters, but walked many more and been very hittable, too.

The Dodgers bats came alive in a 14-11 win on Saturday which resembled a beer-league softball game, and they’ll continue the conga line around the bases on Sunday.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 8.5 (-110) is the lean here, but just ever so slightly. Play a small-unit wager only. Bauer won’t allow much to the Angels, but the Over is the lean because the Dodgers should be able to tee off on Quintana.

Money line (ML)

Kershaw is working on three days of rest because he only threw 39 pitches in his last start. So I’m expecting a bounce-back effort from the eventual Hall of Famer.

Also, Kershaw has pitched well against the Angels’ lineup throughout his career, and the Angels batter that hits Kershaw best is Anthony Rendon who’s on the injured list with a knee issue.

Lastly, Bundy’s pitching performance against the Angels leads me in the direction of betting the Dodgers.

For instance, the reason why the Dodgers’ slash line has a sub-.300 batting average is because Mookie Betts is only hitting .250 BA vs. Bundy in 36 career at-bats.

But, Betts has gone yard four times on Bundy, and there are five other Dodgers hitters that went 1-for-3 or better in their one game against Bundy, back in 2019.

“LEAN” to the DODGERS (-130) FIRST 5 INNINGS for a half unit instead of the full-game price since the Dodgers’ biggest edge over the Angels is in the starting pitching department, and both bullpens are below-average.

PASS because the Dodgers have been struggling lately, and the payout of both the regular and First 5 Innings run lines aren’t fat enough to take a shot at.

Over/Under (O/U)

Even though I prefer betting Kershaw and the Dodgers here doesn’t mean I’m not buying stock on Bundy. His winless record and 4-flat ERA is because of poor luck, not poor pitching.

Statcast grades Bundy in the 83rd percentile in expected wOBA, 87th percentile in exit velocity, 93rd percentile in hard-hit rate and 95th percentile in chase rate.

I’ll gamble a tad on the bullpens and “LEAN” to the UNDER 8.5 (-115) for a half unit.
