Prediction

Clippers 120, Pelicans 112

Moneyline (ML)

The CLIPPERS (-239) are slight moneyline favorites against the Pelicans despite being on the road. While the Clippers haven’t been dominant on the road this season (10-9), the Pelicans have struggled to protect their home court (8-12), as well. Given the talent differential between these two squads, I like the Clippers to win outright in New Orleans.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The CLIPPERS (-5.5) are two-basket favorites over the Pelicans Saturday afternoon. Los Angeles has actually struggled against the spread as of late, covering just twice in their last six games. But with the Pelicans having so many key injuries and the second-worst defense in the NBA, it seems unlikely they will be able to keep this game that close. I like the Clippers to cover the 5.5 point spread against the Pelicans.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Western Conference matchup is set at 231.5 points, which seems just about right. Both teams are averaging well over 110 points per game this season and with the Pelicans having arguably the worst defense in the NBA, it’s fair to expect a ton of scoring in this contest. I like the OVER to hit on Saturday afternoon in New Orleans.
