Writing funny songs is not easy. YouTube is littered with would-be satirists who are really, truly bad at their jobs. There’s only one “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Fortunately, blending humor and music is an art form where the cream rises to the top. Every now and then, Hollywood skims from that pool and creates magic. Occasionally unintentionally, as all 110 minutes of Cats’ completely pointless run time can attest.
