We should immediately address the most memorable moment from this episode: Connor Roy, played by Alan Ruck, ends up singing “Famous Blue Rain Coat” by Leonard Cohen at Maru Karaoke Lounge in Koreatown.

This was a shockingly big week for Leonard Cohen references. The indie rock supergroup boygenius has an entire track dedicated to the singer on their new album. Lana Del Rey refers to the late songwriter on her new song “Kitsugi” as well.

Connor Roy, who said he had only seen karaoke done in movies, performs a rendition of “Famous Blue Rain Coat” that none of his half-siblings want to hear even for a millisecond.

But it immediately became a highlight of the new season.
