Tennessee junior utility baseball player enters the NCAA transfer portal.

Tennessee junior utility player Logan Chambers has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

The 5-foot-10, 182-pound Chambers played at Tennessee from 2022-23. He appeared in 37 games, including 12 starts, for the Vols.

Chambers recorded a .220 batting average, one home run, seven RBIs, 15 runs and 17 walks from 2022-23.

He played at Crowder College prior to transferring to Tennessee. Chambers earned 2021 NJCAA Division I First Team All-American honors at Crowder College.

Chambers is from Bryant High School in Bryant, Arkansas. He was a two-time Arkansas AAA All-State selection in 2018 and 2019.

He earned a bacholor’s degree in child and family studies in May 2023.

Six Vols and two student-workers will be honored on senior day ahead of Tuesday’s Tennessee-Belmont baseball game.

No. 19 Tennessee (35-17, 14-13 SEC) will host Belmont (23-29, 8-17 MVC) on Tuesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

First pitch between the Vols and Bruins is slated for 5 p.m. EDT and the in-state contest can be watched on SEC Network+. Andy Brock (PxP) and Caylan Arnold (analyst) will be on the call.

Tennessee leads the all-time series versus Belmont, 13-4. The Vols were victorious, 18-0, in the last meeting on May 17, 2022 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Opening day for Tennessee baseball is slated for Feb. 17.

The Vols will play in the 2023 MLB Desert Invitational in Arizona Feb. 17-19. The MLB Desert Invitational field will consist of Tennessee, Arizona, Fresno State, Grand CanyonMichigan State and San Diego.

Tennessee’s Logan Chambers debuts with Martha’s Vineyard.

Tennessee junior Logan Chambers is playing for the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks of the the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

The NECBL was founded in 1993 and is a 14-team collegiate summer baseball league using wood bats.

Chambers debuted with the Sharks June 21, starting in right field, and played in his second contest June 24, starting in centerfield.

He is 3-for-9, totaling one RBI and one run.

Chambers appeared in 18 games, starting six contests, for the Vols in 2022. He recorded a .200 batting average, while totaling five hits, four RBIs, six runs and eight walks.

Chambers came to Tennessee from Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri.
