Paris Saint-Germain vs. Lens odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Paris Saint-Germain vs. Lens odds and lines, with Ligue 1 expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Paris Saint-Germain (0 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses) welcomes Lens (0-1-1) to Parc des Princes Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET. Below, we preview BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Paris Saint-Germain odds, and make our best soccer bets, picks and predictions.

PSG has struggled to start the 2023-24 season. They drew Lorient at home 0-0 Aug. 12 to commence the season and then drew Toulouse on the road 1-1 on Aug. 19. PSG had 8 or more shots than its opponent in both games. F Ousmane Dembélé and F Kylian Mbappe are PSG’s notable attacking players — both came off the bench in its last match.

Lens lost 3-1 to Manchester United in its last preseason tune-up. It opened the Ligue 1 season with a 3-2 road loss to Brest Aug. 13. It was 2-2 until an 82nd-minute red card was awarded to Lens — with Brest scoring on the ensuing penalty kick. As a matter of fact, Brest scored 2 of 3 via penalty kicks. Lens followed by drawing Rennes 1-1 at home Sunday.

Brest (2-0-0) and Rennes (1-1-0) sit among the top three in the league. Lens lost its top forward, Loïs Openda, from last season — he is now with RB Leipzig in Bundesliga. D Deiver Machado has a team-high 2 goals so far this season.

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Lens picks and predictions

Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain 2, Lens 0

Moneyline (ML)

BET PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (-175).

While the juice is there and this is just within my personal betting standards (usually would not straight bet anything over -180), it does have good value. PSG has drawn two straight games but has dominated its opponent, ending with 16 shots against Toulouse and 20 against Lorient.

PSG’s opponents have just 2 shots on goal throughout those matches. It has a strong defense and elite attackers, who should start to get more comfortable with the several new faces PSG has.

The loss of Openda to RB Leipzig was huge for Lens, a team that finished second in the league last season. Its offense will take a step back. It has allowed 3 penalty kicks through 2 matches and may struggle with the speed of PSG.

TAK PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (-175).

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN UNDER 2.5 (+115).

PSG has gone Under this total in its first 2 games, and its defense has looked rock solid throughout. Lens should be able to clean up its backline. It has allowed just 1 non-penalty goal throughout its 2 matches.

Without Openda, Lens’ scoring hasn’t been consistent — no one has stepped up yet. Against one of the best defenses in the league, expect Lens to struggle to find opportunities. Plus, PSG has scored just 1 goal in 2 matches.

TAKE UNDER 2.5 (+115).

PSG vs. Lorient odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s PSG vs. Lorient odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

On Wednesday, PSG (14 wins, 1 loss, 3 draws) will travel to Stade du Moustoir to take on Lorient (3-9-6). The match is scheduled to kickoff at 3 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the PSG vs. Lorient odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

PSG was able to get back to its winning ways last time out following two Ligue 1 draws after losing F Neymar for up to eight weeks in late November.

PSG has scored 38 goals and given up 16 across 18 matches. Key D Sergio Ramos may be sidelined again as he returns to match fitness.

Lorient has struggled this season and is currently in 19th place. Les Merius have scored 14 goals and given up 30 through 18 games. Lorient will enter as a heavy underdog. 23-year-old F Armand Lauriente is the key player to watch Wednesday as he leads the team with 4 goals.

Prediction

PSG 3, Lorient 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to PSG (-220). Even down a star forward and potentially without a key defender I still side with the far more talented side. This value is a perfect parlay amount as well.

PSG is on the road which helps bring value to their money line odds, but it’s 6-1-2 away from home and has two of the best forwards in the world which would wreak havoc on a susceptible backline — a backline that’s given up the fifth-most goals in Ligue 1.

With depth at all positions, I’d do with the side currently atop the table. However, I’d rather look to parlay and get a better bang for your buck than to take a whole -220.

PSG is 2-0-0 against the other two teams in the bottom three of the table and should win with relative ease.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+155) as the best value here. PSG has a dynamite attack and F Lionel Messi should be able to break down a poor defense.

Lorient has given up 2 or more goals in three of its last four league games and is coming off a disappointing 4-1 defeat to the hand of the 18th-place Metz.

Combine Lorient’s poor defense with PSG’s lethal attack and PSG’s lacking defense with Lorient’s reasonably capable attack, and you get a game that should feature many goals, especially if Ramos does sit.

PSG vs. Monaco odds, expert picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s PSG vs. Monaco odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

On Sunday, Monaco (7 wins, 5 losses, 5 draws) travels to Parc des Princes to take on PSG (13-1-3). Kickoff is set for 2:45 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the PSG vs. Monaco odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

PSG is still expected to reign supreme over Ligue 1 despite losing F Neymar for the foreseeable future.

The Parisians are 11 points higher than second-place Rennes. Led by forwards Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, PSG is coming off a 4-1 Champions League victory Tuesday over Bruges. They have drawn their last two Ligue 1 matches against Lens and Nice.

Monaco has scored 27 goals and allowed 20 in 17 matches so far this season, good for 8th place on the table. The Monégasques haven’t lost since a 2-1 defeat Oct. 31 by the hand of Brest.

PSG vs. Monaco: Odds, picks and predictions

PLAY: Our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Prediction

PSG 3, Monaco 1

Money line (ML)

PASS on the money line. PSG has drawn two straight and the -210 line doesn’t feel like good enough odds even though it’s at home and facing an inferior opponent.

I would consider the BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE? YES (-160). PSG’s hasn’t quite been as dominant defensively as many would expect.

The Red-and-Blues have allowed about a goal per game. PSG is topping two goals of its own per game on average, so that isn’t much of a worry to the outcome, but Monaco has scored 27 in 17 games and should be able to get one here.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+120) as both teams are dynamic offensively and susceptible defensively. Each side has allowed around a goal per game but they’ve scored over three on average combined.

PSG should be able to net several in this one with all of the talent on its side and is coming off a four-goal showing in midweek Champions League play.

Monaco has scored the sixth-most goals in the league, so the attack for both teams is lethal.

PSG vs Nice odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s PSG vs Nice odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

On Wednesday afternoon, Nice (8 wins, 4 losses, 3 draws) travels to Parc des Princes to take on PSG (13-1-1). The game is scheduled to kickoff at 3 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the PSG vs Nice odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

With superstar F Neymar expected to miss several months, the league-leading PSG will rely more heavily on Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. With 35 goals in 15 matches, PSG’s attack has been unstoppable.

They’ve allowed 15 as well. As for Nice, they sit in third on the table. Their strength is also in their scoring as they have netted 25 goals in 15 games giving up just 12.

Nice is coming in with a 14% win probability. On the road, they’ll be heavy underdogs. They were defeated by Metz, 19th on the table, this past weekend.

PSG vs Nice: Odds, picks and predictions

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday at 7:50 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: PSG -240 (bet $240 to win $100) | Nice +570 (bet $570 to win $100) | Draw +420

PLAY: Our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Prediction

PSG 1,  Nice 1

Money line (ML)

PASS on the money line with a slight lean to DRAW at +420.

I like the draw for one reason only – PSG’s injuries. Julian Draxler, Neymar, Lionel Messi, Marco Verratti and Georginio Wijanldum are all either out or doubtful. That’s just too much talent sitting on the side.

Without arguably the team’s top two strikers and many key midfielders while facing a top-three Ligue 1 side, I expect PSG to struggle to break down a consistently solid Nice backline.

PSG also isn’t playing their best soccer as of late. They were down 1-0 before a 45th-minute red card this past weekend. They won 3-1. They also lost their midweek UCL match to Man City.

If there’s a play here, it’s the draw. I’d stay away from the Nice money line, and the PSG money line is a decent value, just has obvious downside with their injuries.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the ALTERNATE LINE UNDER 2.5 (+165) as three of Nice’s last five games have been under this total.

While PSG typically has a more attack-heavy mindset, we’ve noted the players that won’t be active, and that’s going to be detrimental to their ability to possess.

PSG hasn’t scored in two matchups against top-four Ligue 1 opponents. They lost one of those matches. Given that note, I wouldn’t trust their offense to be at the same level it has been for most of the season.

Bordeaux vs. PSG odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Bordeaux vs. PSG odds and lines, with La Liga picks and predictions.

In a Saturday afternoon match, PSG (10 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw) will visit Bordeaux (2-4-6). The match is set to kick off at 4 p.m. ET and will be held at Matmut Atlantique. Below, we preview the Bordeaux vs. PSG odds and lines, and make our best Bundesliga bets, picks and predictions.

Oddly enough, PSG has actually struggled in league play recently. While its won two of its last four, each finished 2-1. The Parisians also have a draw and a loss across those four matches. It should get easier facing a lower-tier team in Bordeaux.

However, they’ll be with F Lionel Messi, M Marco Verratti, and D Sergio Ramos, three key players at each tier on the field. F Neymar and F Kylian Mbappe will still be in action, making PSG heavy favorites.

Bordeaux is currently outside relegation territory in 16th place.

Its undefeated in its last three matches, defeating Reims, the 17th placed team. Bordeaux averages 1.25 goals per game but is giving up 2 per game which could be a problem against an elite PSG attack.

Girondins Bordeaux vs. PSG: Odds, picks and predictions

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 11:25 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Bordeaux +950 (bet $100 to win $950) | PSG -400 (bet $400 to win $100) | Draw +550
  • Over/Under: 3.5 (O: +100 | U: -125)

PLAY: Our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Prediction

PSG 3, Bordeaux 1

Money line (ML)

PASS on the money line. It’s just far too pricey for PSG here, especially given who it’s missing and its current form.

Typically when PSG plays in Ligue 1, there’s little value on the money line. However, there’s also zero chance anyone would suggest taking the side opposite of PSG.

I would consider betting BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-125) though. To be fair, it’s basically just a bet that Bordeaux will get on the board.

The home side has scored 16 goals in 12 games. With PSG struggling to defend well, giving up 11 in 12 games, it’s a much better wager than the very price money line.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+100) as PSG should have both Neymar and Mbappe in the lineup. That combination is lethal in the attacking third and should produce against a Bordeaux side that’s allowing far too many chances.

PSG is averaging over 2 goals per game, and taking on the third-worst defense in Ligue 1, I’d expect it to reach at least its season average if not more.

For Bordeaux, there are no reasons Hwang Ui-Jo won’t start. He’s had 4 goals in 9 games. If he’s in and PSG has their attacking duo, an attack-heavy game could be in store.

PSG vs. Montpellier odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s PSG vs. Montpellier odds and lines, with Ligue 1 expert picks and predictions.

In the premier Ligue 1 game of the weekend, Montpellier (2 wins, 2 losses, 3 draws) travels to take on Paris St. Germain (7-0-0). The match will kick off at 3 p.m. ET Saturday at Parc des Princes. Below, we preview the PSG vs. Montpellier odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

Paris St. Germain, led by attacking trio F Kylian Mbappe, F Neymar and F Lionel Messi, struggled to get much going in a 2-1 win over FC Metz Wednesday. They are still the only team in Ligue 1 without a draw or loss; however, Messi won’t be available for Saturday’s match.

PSG is clearly atop the table with 21 points. Marseille is the second closest with 14 points through 6 matches.

Montpellier is 10th with nine points through seven games. It has scored the second-most goals in Ligue 1 with 15 but has given up 13. Its most impressive match was handing Lorient its only loss of the season.

PSG vs. Montpellier: Odds, picks and predictions

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:26 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Paris St. Germian -750 (bet $750 to win $100) | Montpellier +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500) | Draw +800
  • Over/Under: 3.5 (O: -155 | U: +122)

PLAY: Our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Prediction

Paris St. Germain 3, Montpellier 1

Money line (ML)

PASS on Paris St. Germain -440 although it’s more than likely to win this match. PSG had some struggles against Metz but was still the dominant side and should’ve won by more than just 1 goal. Betting nearly four and a half times your potential return isn’t worth it against Montpellier.

What is worth it is to bet on BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-122).

PSG has scored in every game and allowed its opponent to score in five. With Montpellier coming in with the second-best attack in the league, expect it to get on the board at least once.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (-155). PSG averages almost 3 goals per game. Mbappe and Neymar have consistently scored for the French club and will be just fine without Messi.

Montpellier has averaged over 2 goals per game and allows almost 2 as well. Its slacking defense will open up a floodgate for PSG. Combine that with the attack, and expect a high-scoring match Saturday.

FC Metz vs. Paris St. Germain odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s FC Metz vs. Paris St. Germain odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

In a midweek Ligue 1 competition, Paris St. Germain (6 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws) visits FC Metz (0-3-3) Wednesday. The match will kick off at 3 p.m. ET and will be held at Stade Saint-Symphorien. Below, we preview the FC Metz vs. Paris St. Germain odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

This is quite literally the top against the bottom of the Ligue 1 table. The dominant attack from PSG has kept it undefeated and it has scored 18 goals against 6 allowed.

Led by F Lionel Messi, F Neymar and F Kylian Mbappe, PSG has arguably the best attacking trio in the world. It will be tough for FC Metz, which has given up 13 goals through 6 games, to slow them down.

Metz’s best showing was a 2-2 draw with Clermont Foot. Following that match, Metz lost back-to-back matches against Troyes and Strasbourg while giving up 5 combined goals.

PLAY: Our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Prediction

PSG 4, FC Metz 0

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to PARIS ST. GERMAIN (-350).

The only thing keeping you away from this bet is the price; however, PSG is taking on the worst Ligue 1 side and is coming off a 2-1 win over Lyon which followed a dominant 4-0 defeat of Clermont Foot in Ligue 1 play.

FC Metz didn’t score in back-to-back matches and its struggles are obvious, one reason that a BET FOR ONE TEAM NOT TO SCORE (-116) is enticing.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the OVER 3.5 (+120) as FC Metz allowed three goals last time out and those goals were against an inferior Strasbourg attack, so when lining up Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar against a side that’s as fragile as Metz, goals are bound to be pouring in.

PSG scored 4 goals in three of its last five Ligue 1 games. As a plus-money bet, this is a home run pick.

Paris St. Germain vs. Lyon odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Paris St. Germain vs. Lyon odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

In the most high-profile Ligue 1 match of the weekend, Lyon (2 wins, 1 loss, 2 draws) visits Paris St. Germain (5-0-0). The match is set to kick off at 2:45 p.m. ET Sunday at Parc des Princes. Below, we preview the Paris St. Germain vs. Lyon odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

PSG has the best attacking trio quite possibly of all time. F Lionel Messi, F Neymar and F Kylian Mbappe create a lethal attacking force; however, PSG is more than just the three-headed monster. M Georginio Wijnaldum and veteran D Sergio Ramos hold down their respective units.

PSG won all five Ligue 1 matches with 16 goals for and 5 against. It sits three points ahead of Lens on the table.

Lyon is coming in with 8 points and in 7th place. However, It has had multiple red-card games, and when with 11 men for all 90, have averaged more than 2 goals per game. Lyon is led by Swiss M Xherdan Shaqiri and German D Jérôme Boateng.

Prediction

Paris St. Germain 3, Lyon 1

Money line (ML)

PASS on the money line.

While PSG is great and should be able to score with ease, it’s coming off a 1-1 Champions League draw with Club Brugge in which it was nearly doubled up in shots on goal.

After watching that game, there’s no way I’d put money on almost three units to one. There are just better ways to bet on PSG, one being the Over/Under.

Typically with a poor money line, I go to a bet on both teams to score or not to score; however, the value isn’t great there, either. PSG shut out Clermont Foot in its last Ligue 1 match. Clermont averages more goals per game than Lyon, so that doesn’t feel like great value either.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (-130) as PSG has been red hot lately and should be able to score at will. Along those lines, Lyon has scored three goals in two of the three games in which it wasn’t awarded a red card.

If Lyon is given a third red in then six games, PSG should be able to pick up the pace. Nonetheless, the side with Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe should only get better with time.

PSG has also given up a goal per game and averages more than three per game. If everything remains consistent, this plus-money bet looks like the best play in this match.

Clermont Foot at PSG odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Clermont Foot at PSG odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

In Saturday’s marquee Ligue 1 match, Clermont Foot (2 wins, 0 losses, 2 draws) takes on the top-ranked PSG (4-0-0). The match will be held at Parc des Princes and is set to kick off at 11 a.m. ET. Below, we preview the Clermont Foot vs. PSG odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

After bringing in world-class F Lionel Messi, Paris St. Germain has arguably the most talented roster in the world. F Neymar and F Kylian Mbappe make up possibly the best attacking trio in the world.

While the offense is dominant, PSG gave up multiple goals in two of its four matches and is taking on a solid Clermont Foot side that’s yet to lose. That may change Saturday.

Clermont Foot scored 2 or more goals in all four of its matches, so it has a solid, thriving attack as well which could easily make this a high-scoring affair.

Clermont Foot at PSG: Odds, picks and predictions

PLAY: Our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Prediction

PSG 3, Clermont Foot 2

Money line (ML)

PASS on Paris Saint-Germain to win. The value here is just not worth it. You’d have to bet over three units just to return one. While PSG should be favored that heavily, the gamble is a poor one.

However, a great bet is BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-120). This is a better option as both teams have scored every time out.

Clermont F Mohamed Bayo has 3 goals on the season and should be able to break through a flawed PSG defense. We’ve mentioned the power PSG has offensively.

This bet is a great value.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+112) as this game should have many goals scored. While Clermont has scored often, it has also allowed 5 goals through four games, giving up all 5 over the last two matches.

A top-five side in Ligue 1, Clermont may still struggle to slow down PSG. St. Germain scored 12 goals in four games and has put up 4 goals in a game twice.

This game has all the makings of a goal-heavy match.

In a battle of two undefeated clubs, Paris Saint-Germain (3 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws) visits Reims (0-0-3) at Stade Auguste-Delaune with kickoff set for 2:45 p.m. ET. All eyes are on F Lionel Messi‘s debut for PSG. Below, we preview the Paris Saint-Germain vs. Reims odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

Coming in with nine points through three matches, PSG has doubled its opponent’s scoring so far this season. It’s the only team to remain without a loss or draw in Ligue 1.

Messi will make his debut while drama continues with PSG’s F Kylian Mbappé. Regardless, PSG is a heavy favorite.

Reims, who has played to the level of its competition so far, shouldn’t be taken lightly though. It drew the first, ninth, and 15th ranked Ligue 1 teams.

Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain 3, Reims 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (-550) because it’s hot and the far better side, but in all reality, the -550 value is a tad too pricy to put much money on.

However, one can get BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (+105), and that’s a far better bet. While PSG is the more skilled side, especially with the debut of Messi, its defense has lacked in these blowout matches.

It allowed 2 goals in each of its last two outings. Expect Reims to get at least 1 and PSG to net several.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+105) as PSG will look to showcase its attacking prowess.

Even without F Neymar, PSG has been able to thrash opponents and has easily been the best Ligue 1 side. PSG is arguably the best club in the world, opening up as Champions League favorites this past week.

That said, in each of its last two games, 6 goals were scored. For Reims, it had a 1-1 draw, 0-0 draw and 3-3 draw. If it can hang with PSG, this match will resemble the latter of the three.
