New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces Game 3 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces meet Friday for Game 3 of the best-of-5 WNBA semifinals at Michelob Ultra Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s WNBA odds around the Liberty vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Playoff series: Liberty lead 2-0; Liberty swept regular-season series 3-0

The Liberty picked up an 88-84 win in Game 2, pushing the 2-time defending champion Aces to the brink of elimination. New York shot 49.3% (33 of 67) from the field, 31.0% (9 of 29) from downtown and 81.3% (13 of 16) from the free-throw line, while posting a plus-6 rebounding margin.

The Aces were just 43.5% (30 of 69) from the field, but 44.4% (12 of 27) from behind the arc, which is what kept Vegas in the game. It did leave 7 points on the free-throw line, going just 63.2% (12 of 19).

The Liberty won despite F Breanna Stewart having an off night. Sure, she finished with 15 points, but it was a grind with a 5-of-15 shooting night, with no 3-pointers and 3 turnovers. G Sabrina Ionescu picked up the slack, though, going for 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal, a blocked shot and 3 triples.

As you’d expect, C A’ja Wilson led Las Vegas with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal while hitting 11 of 18 from the field. G Kelsey Plum had a rough game, though, posting just 6 points on 2-of-9 shooting after going for a team-best 24 points in Game 1.

Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 89, Liberty 84

Moneyline

The ACES (-150) are worth playing straight up if you don’t want to fiddle around with the points in Game 3.

The 2-time defending champions have their backs against the wall, and they’re likely to show the heart of a lion, not going out quietly against the Liberty (+125).

The Aces haven’t won on their home court against the Liberty since Oct. 11, 2023, but they’re a good bet to get it done here.

Against the spread

LAS VEGAS -2.5 (-115) is a solid play at home in Game 3, as it will take a lot to oust the 2-time defending champions from the postseason.

New York +2.5 (-105) has won all 5 meetings this season, while going 3-1-1 ATS. However, A’ja and the Aces won’t be shown the door after Friday’s game. They’ll be very obstinate, as Las Vegas tries to hang around and make this a series.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

OVER 166.5 (-105) is the play in Game 3 after the total went high in the 1st 2 games of this series back east.

Still, the Over is a risk, as the Under is 11-7 across the past 18 games for New York dating back to Aug. 17.

The Under has dominated for the Lib, too, going 16-7-1 across the previous 24 contests since July 10. But, again, 2 of those Over results are in the 1st 2 games of this series.

New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Liberty (22-4) and Las Vegas Aces (16-8) meet at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Liberty vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Liberty lead 1-0

The Liberty picked up a 103-68 win over the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena Thursday, covering as 11-point favorites as the Over (164.5) cashed. New York has won 5 in a row since July 10, prior to the Olympics break, while also going 5-0 against the spread (ATS). The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 outings, too.

These teams met June 15 in Vegas, with the Liberty coming away with a 90-82 win as 2.5-point underdogs as the Under (174.5) connected.

For the Aces, they suffered a 93-85 loss at home against the Chicago Sky as 13-point favorites prior to the break as the Over (172.5) cashed. That loss snapped a 4-game win streak, but the Aces are 0-3 ATS in the past 3 outings. The Under has connected in 3 of the past 4 outings, too.

  • Over/Under (O/U): 175 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Liberty 90, Aces 86

Moneyline

NEW YORK (+126) has the best record in the W, yet it is a rather decisive underdog in Las Vegas (-154).

The Liberty already went to Mandalay Bay once and came away with an 8-point win as slight underdogs, and there is no reason to doubt New York can go out there and do it again. The Liberty picked up right where they left off with a 35-point rout of the Sparks Thursday.

Against the spread

If you’re a little on the conservative side, or feel the Aces -2.5 (-110) are going to win a close game, take LIBERTY +2.5 (-110) with the points. The better value is just taking New York straight up, however.

Over/Under

OVER 175 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.

The Under did cash in the 1st meeting June 15, but Las Vegas is rested and should be able to score plenty of points. New York hit the century mark in its 1st post-break game, and it easily cashed the Over. The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 games.

New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Liberty (11-2) and Las Vegas Aces (6-5) meet Saturday at the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Liberty vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Split 2-2 in regular season

Last season, New York and Las Vegas split their 4-game regular-season series. In the Commissioner’s Cup title game, which didn’t count in the regular-season series or the standings, the Liberty rolled to an 82-63 road win as 7.5-point underdogs.

The Aces, however, would get the final bragging rights as they beat the Liberty 3 games to 1 in the best-of-5 WNBA Finals. The Aces won all but Game 3 and covered the spread in all 3 of their wins.

The Liberty enter this one on a 7-game win streak since dropping 2 in a row against the visiting Chicago Sky May 23, and at the Minnesota Lynx May 25. New York had covered 4 in a row until only beating the Washington Mystics 93-88 as a 15-point favorite Sunday in its most recent game. The Liberty are also 4-1 ATS in their past 5 road outings, while the Over has cashed in 4 of their past 6 games.

The Aces snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 103-99 road win Thursday at the Phoenix Mercury. It was the first time Las Vegas lost 3 in a row since the 2019 season. While Las Vegas won at Phoenix, the Aces didn’t cover as 6-point favorites. They are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 and 1-5 ATS in the last 6. As for the O/U, the Over has cashed in 3 in a row, and 7 of the previous 10 outings.

Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Liberty 90, Aces 86

Moneyline

NEW YORK (+110) is worth a look as a slight road ‘dog.

As mentioned, Las Vegas (-134) beat New York in the WNBA Finals in 4 games, but instead of pocket Aces, this team has been performing like a 2 and a 7 lately. Yes, the Aces won at the Mercury last time out, but they still struggled defensively, allowing 99 points.

New York has rattled off 7 in a row, which included an 81-78 win over the Mercury and an 82-75 victory last Saturday at Connecticut — it was the Sun’s 1st loss of the season.

Against the spread

If you’re not interested betting on an outright win and would rather take the little bit of points, New York +2.5 (-112) is worth a play.

Las Vegas is just 1-5 ATS in 6 games at home this season, so playing the New York isn’t a bad idea. If f you like the Liberty, you should just play them straight up on the moneyline for a better value.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

OVER 171.5 (-110) is a strong play whenever the Aces are associated lately.

The Over has cashed in 3 in a row for the Aces, while they also allowed 96 or more points in 3 straight games and an average of 98.3 PPG. The Over has cashed in 4 of the past 5 games at home for the Aces, too.

For New York, the Over has cashed in 2 in a row, and in 4 of the past 6 games. The total has gone Over just once in the past 5 road games, though, so be careful.

WNBA Finals Game 2: New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces Game 2 odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces meet Wednesday for Game 2 of their WNBA Finals best-of-5 playoff matchup. Tip-off from Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Liberty vs. Aces Game 2 odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

The Liberty was a huge thorn in the side of the Aces during the regular season, but Las Vegas fired out to a 1-0 series lead with a 99-82 victory over New York in Game 1 on Sunday.

The Liberty hit 46.4% (32 of 69) from the field, while going 31.0% (9 of 29) from behind the arc. They turned it over 11 times. F Jonquel Jones went for 16 points and 10 rebounds in her 34 minutes, misfiring all 3 times on treys. F Breanna Stewart hit 21 points with 9 boards and 2 assists.

Liberty G Sabrina Ionescu continued to struggle in the postseason, going just 2 of 7 from the floor, ending up with 7 points in 34 minutes. She is 5 of 15 (33.3%) from the field, averaging just 8.0 PPG in the past 2 games.

The Aces were an impressive 54.7% (35 of 64) from the floor, while knocking down 40.9% (9 of 22) from behind the 3-point line. And Las Vegas got it done at the free-throw line, hitting 87.0% (20 of 23). The Aces also  turned it over 11 times.

Aces F A’ja Wilson was actually the 4th-highest scorer for Vegas with 19 points, as G Chelsea Gray, G Kelsey Plum and G Jackie Young each went for 20 or more points and 5 or more rebounds, while combining for 9 triples.

Game 2: Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 93, Liberty 84

Moneyline

The Aces (-225) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return in Game 2, as Vegas looks to push the Liberty (+180) to the brink of elimination. However, as solid as Las Vegas is on its home floor, you can’t risk this much for so little.

AVOID.

Against the spread

The ACES -5.5 (-105) are a strong play in Game 2 after racking up the 17-point win in the series opener.

Vegas is on a roll in the postseason, going a perfect 6-0 straight up, while covering the number in 4 of the past 6 outings. The Aces are hitting on all cylinders offensively, too, going for 87 or more points in 5 of the 6 playoff games to date.

The Liberty +5.5 (-114) are one of the only teams in the WNBA to hang with Vegas, but it needs all hands on deck, and Ionescu, one of the team’s biggest weapons, has struggled lately.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

The OVER 171.5 (-113) is the lean. It easily cashed in Game 1, with 181 combined points on a total of 170. As a result, the books have slid the number up slightly.

The Over is 2-1-1 in the past 4 playoff games for the Aces, while going 4-for-4 in the past 4 postseason outings for the Liberty. Look for both teams to get it done offensively and put on a show.

WNBA Finals Game 1: New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces Game 1 odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces meet Sunday for Game 1 of their WNBA Finals best-of-5 playoff matchup. Tip-off from Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Liberty vs. Aces Game 1 odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

The Liberty and Aces produced the 2 best records in the regular season, so it’s no real surprise these teams meet for all of the WNBA marbles.

New York was a thorn in the side of Las Vegas this season, with the teams splitting 4 regular-season battles, while the Liberty also won 82-63 on the floor of the Aces to take the Commissioner’s Cup Aug. 15. The home team was 4-0 straight-up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) in the 4 regular-season meetings.

The Liberty was tripped up in 78-63 in Game 1 of the WNBA semi-final round against the Connecticut Sun. It quickly rectified the situation, rattling off 3 straight wins, while scoring 84 or more points. The Over has cashed in 3 in a row, and 5 of 6 playoff games overall. However, the Lib is just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 playoff games.

The Aces have an unblemished 5-0 SU record in these playoffs, although Las Vegas failed to cover the past 2 contests in its 3-game sweep of the Dallas Wings in the semis. Vegas is 3-2 ATS in the postseason, with the Under going 3-1-1.

Aces C A’ja Wilson leads the team with 25.8 points per game (PPG) and 11.2 rebounds per game (RPG) in 5 postseason games, hitting 59.5% from the floor. Gs Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum are each 2nd with 16.0 PPG.

Liberty F Breanna Stewart leads the way with 19.8 PPG and 9.0 RPG in the postseason, while posting 2.8 blocked shots per game (BPG) in 6 outings. New York also sports 4 players averaging better than 16.3 PPG, including G Sabrina Ionescu, who has shot just 43.2% from the field in the postseason.

Game 1: Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 92, Liberty 85

Moneyline

The Aces (-215) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return. With the way the Liberty (+172) have played them so tough this season, that’s a risky proposition. Look to the spread instead.

AVOID.

Against the spread

The ACES -4.5 (-115) are the play in the series opener, but be cautious. The Liberty +4.5 (-105) won on this floor in the Commissioner’s Cup in a high-stakes game, and New York was 3-2 SU/ATS in 5 meetings overall since the start of the season.

However, I don’t like how the Liberty started their series against the Sun, faltering in Game 1. The Aces are on their home floor and should hit blackjack in the series opener.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

The OVER 171.5 (-111) is the lean, but again, err on the side of caution and don’t get too carried away.

These teams split 1-1 on the Over-Under in each regular-season home game, and the Under cashed in the Commissioner’s Cup game in mid-August in Vegas, too.

However, the Over is the lean based on the offensive performances of both teams overall, and the Liberty will look to run early.

New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Liberty (24-6) and the Las Vegas Aces (27-3) resume the regular season Thursday at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Liberty vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

The Liberty throttled the Aces 99-61 in Brooklyn Aug. 6, and posted a resounding 82-63 win in Las Vegas Tuesday to take the Commissioner’s Cup. Officially, the result was not applied to the regular-season standings, but unofficially it was the first home loss for Las Vegas this season.

The Liberty have won 6 straight regular-season games and the Commissioner’s Cup final, while covering 5 consecutive outings. That includes the outright win in Vegas Tuesday as 7.5-point underdogs. The Under is on a 6-1 run for New York, including the past 2 meetings with Las Vegas.

The Aces topped the Liberty 98-81 back on June 29, covering as 6.5-point home favorites as the Over (176) cashed, but New York has won and covered 2 in a row as an underdog in the head-to-head series, cashing the Under in each game.

The Liberty held the Aces to just 62.0 points per game (PPG) in those pair of losses, well below the Las Vegas’ league-leading 94.0 PPG.

Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 89, Liberty 84

Moneyline

It’s rather tempting to take the Liberty (+220), and that’s where the value is, should you opt to make a moneyline play.

However, I expect Las Vegas (-275) to bounce back and finally solve New York. Am I willing to put up nearly 2.75 times my initial investment? No, and you shouldn’t either.

PASS.

Against the spread

NEW YORK +6.5 (-105) has not only beaten Vegas twice in the past 12 days, the Liberty bludgeoned the Aces by an average of 28.5 PPG. There is little reason to believe the Aces are suddenly going to snap back into form when they’ve been dominated in those 2 games.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

The UNDER 174.5 (-110) is the lean in this showdown rematch on The Strip.

The past 2 victories by New York in this series were Under results. The Under is 6-1 in the past 7 games overall for the Liberty, while going 4-1 in the previous 5 games on the road. The Under has cashed in 5 in a row against Western Conference foes, too.

For the Aces, while the Over is 6-2-1 in the past 9 against teams with a winning record, the Under has cashed in 4 of the past 5 against the East, including the previous 2 outings vs. the Liberty.

New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Liberty (24-6) play the 2nd contest of a 5-game road trip when they visit the Las Vegas Aces (27-3) Tuesday at Michelob Ultra Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Liberty vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

The Liberty opened a 5-game journey Sunday with a 100-89 victory over the Indiana Fever, narrowly covering a 10-point spread as the Over (166) cashed. After a 2-9 ATS skid in 11 games from July 5-Aug. 1, the Liberty have covered 4 in a row, including 3 times as a favorite of 9 or more points.

The Aces were humbled 99-61 in Brooklyn by the Liberty last Sunday. That rout served as a wake-up call, as Las Vegas has won and covered 3 in a row, winning each outing by 20 or more points.

The home team is 2-0 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) in the 2 previous meetings between these teams this season, splitting the Over and Under.

Liberty at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 94, Liberty 89

Moneyline

The Aces (-350) are a little on the expensive side. Vegas looks to exact a little revenge after an embarrassing 38-point blowout loss at Barclays Center Aug. 6 against the Liberty (+260). If anything, with the way New York hammered Las Vegas last week, it is tempting to play the Lib.

Both of these teams have been playing well, and it’s going to be a fun one in the rubber match.

PASS, and look to the line instead.

Against the spread

The LIBERTY +7.5 (-110) are worth a look, based mostly on their rout of the Aces just last week.

Vegas didn’t hit snooze on the alarm after their blowout loss to the Liberty. That loss awakened the monster, and that’s bad for the rest of the WNBA, including New York in the rematch on Tuesday. Vegas should grab the win, as it has covered 5 in a row at home and is 6-0 ATS in the past 6 when playing on a day of rest.

The Aces are also 5-1 ATS in the past 6 against winning teams, although that lone non-cover is against the Liberty. Vegas wins and New York covers in an entertaining affair.

Over/Under

OVER 177.5 (-105) is the play in Game 3 between these teams this season.

Aces F A’ja Wilson dropped a career-high 40 points with 12 rebounds in Friday’s 113-89 win over the Washington Mystics.

Meanwhile, Liberty F Breanna Stewart stepped up in response as she scored 42 points against the Fever last time out, going for 40 or more in 3 straight outings.

Wilson and Stewart aren’t the only ones filling up the bucket for their respective teams, either. This prospective WNBA Finals preview should look like an All-Star Game with plenty of scoring.
