He won by unanimous decision last time out at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Calif., against Manny Robles III, and he dumped Shun Kubo in a Round 6 TKO in Fuzhou, China before that. Xu enters on a 15-bout win streak, and he will be looking to wow the judges not just with his technical skill, but his tremendous punching power.
Wood is looking to pull the upset, but “Leigh-thal” doesn’t have a ton of experience fighting top-notch boxers. This will easily be the Englishman’s biggest test. He was able to rebound from a majority-decision loss to James Dickens at Bethnal Green Feb. 21, 2020, topping Reece Mould at Wembley last time out in a ninth-round TKO victory. He lets opponents hang around, but he wows the judges with the technical aspects they like to see. As such, he is going to win this one, but the best bet is XU CAN ON POINTS (+125) rather than just playing the 2-way line straight up.

If you want action on the length of this bout, without actually declaring a winner, then 11 ROUNDS OR MORE (-175) is your play. Xu just doesn’t knock people out, and Wood isn’t going to sniff a victory here. He is going to be overmatched, and the judges will see it that way.
