Jets announce new uniforms for 2024, new green and black Legacy jerseys

The Legacy jerseys are here to say as the Jets will have new uniforms in 2024.

The New York Jets and owner Woody Johnson wasted no time announcing new uniforms for the team for the 2024 season. Just minutes after the Kansas City Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl with a 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers, the Jets announced their Legacy jerseys that debuted last season will become their permanent jerseys going forward.

The Jets wore white Legacy jerseys, throwing back to the 1980s and the New York Sack Exchange, in two games last season against the Buffalo Bills (Week 1) and the Chiefs (Week 4). Along with those jerseys, the Jets will introduce green and black editions as well. The jerseys will be unveiled in April.

The offseason has officially begun in the NFL with the Super Bowl in the rearview mirror. One piece of business is already taken care of for the Jets with plenty more to come.

Jets to feature three different midfield logos during season

The Jets will feature a few throwbacks, both on their jerseys and on the field, during the 2023 season. The team announced their “Legacy” jerseys, a throwback inspired by the New York Sack Exchange, that they will wear twice this season, Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills and Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Jets will also feature three different logos at midfield throughout the season that will also serve as throwbacks, as announced on Twitter by owner Woody Johnson.

The standard logo will be at midfield when the Jets are wearing their normal jerseys at home. They will have a black logo for Black Friday against the Dolphins when they wear their black alternate jerseys and black helmets. For the two Legacy games, the logo will be the one used from 1978-1997, including the New York Sack Exchange run in the 1980s. The endzones will also match the midfield logos.
