Bronny James is in stable condition following a cardiac arrest on Monday, July 24. The incident occurred during an informal team workout at USC, with a 911 call reportedly being made regarding Bronny in the early morning.

On Tuesday, July 25, The Athletic’s Shams Charania released a statement that had been shared with him that addressed Bronny’s condition while asking for privacy and respect for the family. The statement noted Bronny was no longer in the intensive care unit, which is an encouraging sign for the 18-year-old and the James family.

“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information,” The statement Charania shared said. “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Bronny recently joined USC after spending the last few years with Sierra Canyon High School. He became one of the top recruits in his class before opting to join a university close to home.

Injury Report: Draymond Green returns to lineup vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Draymond Green will return to action against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing the past two games with a pelvic contusion.

Stephen Curry has yet to make his long-awaited return from his broken hand injury. However, the Golden State Warriors will be getting one former All-Star back against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Draymond Green will return against the Lakers after missing the past two games with a pelvic contusion. Without Green, Steve Kerr started rookie Eric Paschall with Dragan Bender and Kevon Looney filling minutes off the bench.

While the Warriors are getting healthy, their opponent will be without a Most Valuable Player candidate. LeBron James has been ruled out against Golden State with a sore groin. A trip to San Francisco will be only the third contest James has missed all season.

The Warriors dropped both games without Green and are currently riding a seven-game losing streak. Adding the former Defensive Player of the Year back to the rotation gives Golden State a better chance of snapping their losing streak.

Green is averaging 8.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game in the 2019-20 season. Though his number may not standout, Green has been a factor in Golden State’s wins. Ten of the Warriors’ 12 wins have come when the Michigan State product is in the lineup.

Injury Report: Lakers rule out LeBron James (sore groin) vs. Warriors

A groin injury will hold LeBron James out of the Los Angeles Lakers trip to San Francisco to face the Golden State Warriors.

With all eyes focusing on the potential return of Stephen Curry on March 1 against the Washington Wizards, the Golden State Warriors still have business ahead on the schedule.

Next up, the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Lakers will make the trip north to the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Lakers and Warriors are heading in opposite directions going into Thursday’s contest. The Lakers have won six straight games, while Golden State has dropped seven in a row.

However, the Lakers will be without their Most Valuable Player candidate LeBron James against the Warriors. James has been ruled out by the Lakers with a sore groin.

James is leading the NBA in assists per game with 10.6, while averaging 25.5 points per contest on 49.4 % shooting from the field. The 35-year-old point-forward is coming off a 40 point night against Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Warriors are also dealing with the injury bug. Two players have missed time this week due to injury. Draymond Green has missed consecutive games with a pelvic contusion, and Marquese Chriss is dealing with a calf issue. Chriss was held out against the Pelicans but returned the next game versus the Sacramento Kings.

Chriss wasn’t named in the NBA’s latest injury report, with Green getting labeled as probable against the Lakers.

James’ absence eases the Warriors challenge against the first-place Lakers. Nevertheless, to snap their losing streak, the Dubs will still have to go through Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso.
