Dave Chappelle gives ‘friend’ LeBron James shoutout in new special

Comedian Dave Chappelle released a new special where he defended LeBron James against Laura Ingraham.

Dave Chappelle released an unexpected and powerful 30-minute comedy special on YouTube late on Thursday night entitled “8:46” the amount of time that officer Derek Chauvin spent on the neck of George Floyd before killing Floyd a few weeks ago, sparking protests nationwide and around the world that are still continuing through this week. During the set, Chappelle discussed what was going on throughout the country in the past few weeks and he also commended his buddy LeBron James, for continuing to speak out on injustices, even when folks like Fox News host Laura Ingraham try to demean or diminish his speech with terms like “shut up and dribble.”

“LeBron James once said something about racism and Laura Ingraham, which I will say publicly anywhere anytime is a [EXPLETIVE] told one of Ohio’s greatest residents ever to ‘Shut up and dribble.'”

Chappelle continued, “This[EXPLETIVE] told my friend to shut up and dribble.”

“My friend is the best at something. And this bitch is not the best at anything. Just a regular-ass white bitch with a platform. And I use the word [EXPLETIVE] all the time because.”

Chappelle criticized Ingraham, as many people did, for defending Drew Brees and his right to an opinion while slamming James and Kevin Durant for doing the same a few years ago.

LeBron James says he will not shut up, he’s being ‘louder than ever’

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James responded to Laura Ingraham’s double standard for him and Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James definitely saw all of the things that folks were saying on social media regarding Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s double standard for getting the opinions of athletes, following her defense of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees’ statement that people who kneel for the national anthem are “disrespecting the flag.” The juxtaposition of her comments this week and ones from two years ago about LeBron James and Kevin Durant discussing Donald Trump, highlighted Ingraham’s hypocrisy for everyone to see. And LeBron James will not let it die down.

LeBron also went off on Ingraham via his twitter page, saying that he will not slow down or lower his voice until real change happens.

LeBron James has been very vocal, using his massive platform to shine a light on the protests, while several NBA players have been out in the streets themselves protesting against police brutality.

Fox News host who told LeBron to ‘shut up and dribble’ now defends Drew Brees

Yes, really.

In 2018, Fox News host Laura Ingraham delivered a diatribe aimed at LeBron James and Kevin Durant, who used an UNINTERRUPTED appearance to say that Donald Trump really doesn’t “give a (expletive) about the people.”

It was then that Ingraham belittled James and Durant with hatred and stick-to-sports vitriol, ending her monologue with, “Keep the political commentary to yourself, or as someone once said, shut up and dribble.”

Guess who defended Drew Brees on Wednesday after the New Orleans Saints quarterback said he “will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country”?

Yup.

Here’s the video of Ingraham telling viewers, “He’s allowed to have his view about what kneeling and the flag means to him. I mean, he’s a person, he has some worth I would imagine. This is beyond football, though. This is … totalitarian conduct. This is Stalinist.”

Notice any differences here? Of course. So much for “shut up and dribble” when it’s Brees who’s speaking out about something beyond his or her sport.
