Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants Week 9 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Las Vegas Raiders (5-2) travel to meet the New York Giants (2-6) Sunday at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and will be televised on CBS. Below, we look at the Raiders vs. Giants odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Raiders had a week of tumult, as WR Henry Ruggs III was released for an off-field incident. On the heels of the Jon Gruden dismissal, losing a star receiver is not what Vegas needed, but this team proved an ability to steer through turbulent waters before.

Since sending Gruden to the unemployment line, this team is 2-0 SU/ATS with a pair of Over results, including a 33-22 win two weeks ago against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.

The Giants have been banged up but gave a tremendous effort Monday in Kansas City, falling just 20-17 as 10.5-point underdogs. The defense has allowed just 23 total points across the past two games, both Under results.

Raiders at Giants odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Raiders 26, Giants 20

Money line

The RAIDERS (-180) are moderate favorites, but this price isn’t terribly out of line if you want to avoid the three and a hook and just play Vegas straight up.

This is a well-rested team, coming off a bye and with no notable injuries, while the Giants continue to do a conga line to the trainer’s table. Health will make a huge difference in this game.

Against the spread

The RAIDERS -3.5 (-103) is worth the play, although betting favorites, especially on the road, with a three and a hook is always risky business.

While the Giants +3.5 (-117) have covered the past two games overall, they’re coming off a short week, and New York is just 1-3 SU/ATS in four previous games at home.

Over/Under

The UNDER 46.5 (-108) is the slight lean, but it’s only worth a small-unit wager. New York is averaging just 15.8 points per game in four home outings this season, and the offense is super banged up, as mentioned above.

While the Raiders have hit the Over in the past two games, Vegas did hit the Under in its only previous trip into the Eastern Time Zone in Week 2 at Pittsburgh.

Raiders at Giants head-to-head

The last time these teams met was in 2017 when Eli Manning was New York’s quarterback and the Raiders were still in Oakland.

That game was memorable because it was former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo’s final game after the fallout of his decision to replace Manning as the starter for Giants’ then-backup QB Geno Smith.
