The Las Vegas Aces (23-13) and Indiana Fever (19-18) meet Friday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the 2nd game of a back-to-back set. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ION). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Aces vs. Fever odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Aces lead 3-0

The Aces are piecing things together just in time for what it hopes is another championship run. Vegas has won 5 of the past 6 games straight up (SU), while covering in 6 in a row. The Under has cashed in 4 consecutive outings, while going 9 of the past 12 contests.

One of those victories and covers was in the front end of this back-to-back in Indy. Vegas won 86-75, beating the Fever for the 14th straight time, as A’ja Wilson scored 27 points with 12 rebounds. She became the WNBA’s single-season scoring leader in 35 games with 956 points, passing Seattle’s Jewell Loyd, who had 939 points in 38 games last season.

Indiana’s Caitlin Clark had a brutal night from behind the arc, going just 1-of-10 against Vegas, while finishing with 16 points on 6-of-22 shooting. Luckily, Kelsey Mitchell had 24 points to pace the Fever and keep them in it.

Aces at Fever picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 89, Fever 76

Moneyline

Las Vegas (-225) would set you back more than 2 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not enough reward. While it seems like a slam-dunk play, as the Aces have vanquished Indiana (+180) in 14 straight meetings, it’s too expensive.

PASS.

Against the spread

It’s difficult to win and cover in a back-to-back set, especially on the road. However, LAS VEGAS -5.5 (-105) has managed 6 consecutive covers, and it has covered all 3 meetings with Clark and Indiana +5.5 (-115) this season. There is very little evidence that the Fever will suddenly catch fire and turn things around in this series.

Over/Under

UNDER 177.5 (-110) might be the best play on the board in this 2nd installment in the past 3 days.

The Under has cashed in each of the previous 2 meetings, including Wednesday’s game with a combined 161 points on a total of 180. The Under is 8-2 in the past 10 in the series since Aug. 28, 2021, too.

For Vegas, the total has gone low in 4 straight, and 12 of the past 16 outings since July 10 prior to the All-Star and Olympic break.

As far as Indiana is concerned, the Over is 5-1 in the past 6 games, but the Under has a slight 2-1 edge in the past 3 against winning teams, while going 7-2 in the previous 9 against teams above .500.

Las Vegas Aces at Indiana Fever odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Las Vegas Aces at Indiana Fever odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Las Vegas Aces (22-13) and Indiana Fever (19-17) meet Wednesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the front end of a back-to-back set. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (NBATV). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Aces vs. Fever odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Aces lead 2-0

The Aces have not only won both meetings this season, but Las Vegas has won 13 consecutive games in this series since Indiana won 86-71 at home on Aug. 27, 2019. Indiana is a respectable 3-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past 5 in the series, although the Aces have covered both games against Caitlin Clark and the Fever this season.

For Vegas, superstar A’ja Wilson is averaging 28.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in the 2 meetings with Indiana this season.

The Over-Under has split in the 2 battles this season, both in Las Vegas, while the total has gone low at a 7-2 clip in the previous 9 in the series.

Las Vegas is coming off a 75-71 loss against the top-seeded New York Liberty at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, although it covered as 9.5-point underdogs. The Aces have covered a season-high 5 in a row. In fact, that cover streak comes on the heels of an 0-9 ATS skid, and Las Vegas was a dismal 10-20 ATS prior to the impressive run.

The Under has cashed in 3 in a row for Vegas, while going 11-4 in the past 15 outings. The Under has cashed on the 1st 2 games of this 4-game road trip, too.

Indiana is coming off a thrilling 104-100 overtime home victory Sunday against the Atlanta Dream, although it just missed covering as a 5-point favorite as the Over (171) comfortably cashed. Clark was sensational, going for 26 points, 12 assists and 4 3-pointers, although she did have 9 turnovers, too. But, it was Aliyah Boston who led the way with 30 points, 13 boards, 5 dimes and a blocked shot.

Aces at Fever picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 96, Fever 90

Moneyline

Las Vegas (-154) has dominated this series over the past half-decade, winning 13 consecutive meetings since 2019, including the 2 installments this season against Clark.

However, backing the Aces on the moneyline makes little sense, unless you’re absolutely set on an Aces win, but only by a single point.

PASS, and lay the points instead.

Against the spread

Back LAS VEGAS -3 (-110), as it enters on a season-high 5-game cover streak. Between that, and the fact the Aces have won 13 straight in this series, you have to fade Indiana +3 (-110) until it proves it can get over the hump against the defending champs.

Over/Under

OVER 178 (-110) is a big number, but a strong play nonetheless.

The Over has cashed in 5 in a row for the Fever, as they’ve hit the century mark on offense in 3 of those outings. Indiana shouldn’t have nearly the same kind of offensive freedom against Las Vegas, but it still had a respectable 88 points in a loss against the No. 2 seed Minnesota Lynx in the game Friday, so it doesn’t seem to matter who is on the other side, Indiana is dictating the pace.
