Lane Johnson addresses talk of potential retirement after Super Bowl LIX

Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro right tackle says he’ll play at least one more season and won’t be retiring after Super Bowl LIX

Lane Johnson is a future Hall of Famer and one of the best right tackles in the NFL. A Super Bowl win would give Johnson two for his career and provide the perfect backdrop for a dream retirement following Jason Kelce’s last offseason.

Johnson is saying not so fast. During his media availability before departing for New Orleans, he made it clear that he won’t be retiring after Super Bowl LIX.

This season, Johnson, the No. 4 overall pick in 2013, earned his sixth overall Pro Bowl selection and his third in a row. He sits behind only Kelce and Jason Peters – two future Hall of Famers with seven apiece – for the most Pro Bowls by an offensive lineman in Eagles history.
