After a fantastic 2019 season that has him the frontrunner for the NFL’s MVP award, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has already inspired a whole generation of football players to be like him on the field. But he’s also trying to inspire fans to be better in the classroom as well.
Jackson was on Instagram Live, chatting with users, including one kid who was in the middle of his algebra class. It didn’t take long for Jackson to inquire about his grades and even asked the student to put his teacher on the phone so he could ask her himself.
Take a look at the interaction:

It’s awesome Jackson is randomly chatting with his fans on social media in the first place. But for Jackson to also push them to be better in school and stop playing around in class is something that has to bring a smile to your face.
Jackson has truly been an inspiring player to watch since being selected by Baltimore in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. But seeing his leadership grow both on and off the field has been an even bigger treat.
