Former Tennessee player Max Ferguson is playing for the Lake Elsinore Storm of the California League.
Lake Elsinore is a Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
Ferguson recorded his 50th stolen base of the 2022 season Saturday. Through 64 games, the former Vol has recorded 51 stolen bases, three home runs, 39 RBIs, 63 runs, 59 hits, nine doubles, five triples, 61 walks, while batting .247.
Ferguson was selected by San Diego in the 2021 MLB draft. He was drafted in the fifth round with the 160th overall selection.
He recorded a career batting average of .258 at Tennessee and hit 14 home runs. Ferguson totaled 28 stolen bases with the Vols from 2019-21.
