Which NASCAR driver has the most wins at Gateway?

Which NASCAR driver has the most wins at World Wide Technology Raceway? Check out who tops the list at Gateway!

NASCAR has a short history with the World Wide Technology Raceway, dating back to the 2022 season. Since that point, the NASCAR Cup Series has competed in only two races. However, which NASCAR driver has the most wins at Gateway? With limited races at the track, the answer is straightforward.

[autotag]Joey Logano[/autotag] and [autotag]Kyle Busch[/autotag] each have one victory at Gateway, making them the most successful drivers at the track in NASCAR history. The Cup Series doesn’t have as many races at Gateway compared to the NASCAR Xfinity Series; however, they each have won races in their own ways, with Logano leading 22 laps and Busch leading 121 laps.

Any driver can add their names to the list this weekend and make it a three-way tie for the top spot. If not, one of Logano or Busch can take a firm grasp on the lead spot. It will be fun to see who manages the race track the best on Sunday afternoon.

Busch says NASCAR’s All-Star fight penalties are ‘not my problem’

Kyle Busch had no clear stance on the penalties handed down this week to JTG Daugherty Racing after the altercation between the two sides at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

“NASCAR levies penalties,” Busch said Saturday after the Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. “That’s not my problem.”

Busch was confronted in the garage last weekend by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. after the two made contact on lap two in the NASCAR All-Star Race. The initial discussion, in which Stenhouse argued that he never touched Busch, turned physical when Stenhouse punched the Richard Childress Racing driver. In doing so, it resulted in individuals from both teams and Stenhouse’s father getting involved in a brawl.

NASCAR fined Stenhouse $75,000 and indefinitely suspended Ricky Stenhouse Sr. JTG Daugherty Racing had two of its crew members from Stenhouse’s No. 47 team suspended. Keith Matthews, the engine tuner, was suspended for four races and Clint Myrick, a mechanic, was suspended for eight races.

“It doesn’t matter whether I agree or not, NASCAR makes the penalties,” Busch said.

[lawrence-auto-related count=3 category=1428]

The incident started on the first lap when Stenhouse made it three-wide in Turns 1 and 2, with Busch on the far outside. Busch bounced off the wall and, a lap later, ran into Stenhouse until the No. 47 spun and hit the outside wall.

Stenhouse could not leave the racetrack because North Wilkesboro has no tunnel, and he promised in his media interviews that he would confront Busch. After seeing the replays, Busch said “maybe” he could have done something different.

“I walked into the situation,” he said, “It was calm to start and escalated from there.”

However, Busch said he does not feel differently about the situation after watching the replays of what happened on the racetrack.

“Nope,” Busch said. “I gave extra room, and when I was dragging the fence, he smashed [into] my door.”

Busch has not talked to Stenhouse since last weekend. He does not anticipate any further contact from Stenhouse in the Coca-Cola 600.

“I don’t need a fight with Ricky Stenhouse Jr.,” Busch said when asked if he’s moved on and it’s over. “I need a fight with the top three guys so I can start winning some races.”

NASCAR gives big penalty to Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s camp for fighting Kyle Busch

NASCAR gives a big penalty to Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s camp for fighting Kyle Busch. Check out who is suspended from this NASCAR fight!

[autotag]Ricky Stenhouse Jr.[/autotag] and [autotag]Kyle Busch[/autotag] fought after the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, and the consequences of that scuffle have been revealed. Stenhouse Jr. has been fined a whopping $75,000 for his role in the scuffle, while his father, Richard Stenhouse, has been suspended indefinitely after fighting with Busch.

Richard Childress supports Kyle Busch to run the 2025 Indianapolis 500

Richard Childress supports Kyle Busch to run the 2025 Indianapolis 500. Find out what Childress said about the possibility involving Busch!

[autotag]Kyle Busch[/autotag] has been flirting with the Indianapolis 500 for several years, but his possible seat at Arrow McLaren is not up for grabs now. Busch was talking to Arrow McLaren about a possible entry, but Kyle Larson took the seat for 2024, with an option for 2025. Larson has taken the racing world by storm as he will start fifth in the 2024 Indianapolis 500.

However, what if the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion still wants a chance to run “The Double” in 2025? NBC Sports’ Dustin Long reported what Busch’s team owner, Richard Childress, had to say about him possibly running the 2025 Indianapolis 500.

“We’ve talked a little about it,” Childress said. “The right opportunities, the right team, the right situation, we would do it, and I’m sure [Kyle Busch] would do it…It’s Kyle’s call to make that decision. I’d support it for sure.”

Before the 2024 Indianapolis 500, Larson was noncommittal about running the event next year. After the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s schedule over the last week, he may be more inclined to rerun it, but Busch could take the ride if not. The Richard Childress Racing driver still has the talent to run “The Double,” and hopefully, he finds a way to make it happen, whether it’s with Arrow McLaren or another team.

NASCAR could give penalties from Kyle Busch, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. fight

NASCAR could reveal penalties from Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s fight at the 2024 All-Star Race. Find out who NASCAR could suspend!

[autotag]Ricky Stenhouse Jr.[/autotag] and [autotag]Kyle Busch[/autotag]’s fight at the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race has been the main topic this week. After Busch destroyed Stenhouse in the opening laps of the All-Star Race, the driver of the No. 47 car parked in the No. 8 team’s pit stall. Then, Stenhouse waited for Busch after the race, confronted him, and fists started to fly.

However, some penalties could come from the fight, specifically to Ricky Stenhouse Sr., who fought Busch. Stenhouse Jr. had to get someone to remove his father from the fight near the end. The damage is already done, but it could result in a suspension, similar to when Nick Sanchez’s dad was suspended for his role in his son’s fight with Matt Crafton in 2023.

If penalties are handed out, Stenhouse Sr. would likely suffer the heftiest consequences, which is to be expected. As for Busch and Stenhouse Jr., neither of them will be suspended for their actions but a fine wouldn’t be surprising, especially to the JTG Daugherty Racing driver. The NASCAR penalty report will come out soon, so the wait shouldn’t be too much longer.

Kyle Busch discusses incident with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at 2024 All-Star Race

Kyle Busch discusses the incident with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at the 2024 All-Star Race. Check out what Busch had to say about Stenhouse!

[autotag]Kyle Busch[/autotag]’s night at North Wilkesboro Speedway quickly came into the picture after the start of the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race. Busch wrecked [autotag]Ricky Stenhouse Jr.[/autotag] after the No. 8 car hit the wall in the opening laps. Stenhouse was not happy and proceeded to park his No. 47 car in Busch’s pit stall and waited for the All-Star Race to end.

After it ended, Stenhouse waited for Busch in the garage area as the two drivers confronted each other. The JTG Daugherty Racing driver punched Busch, and chaos ensued. Busch declined to talk about the fight after it happened but did discuss the incident that occurred during the race.

“I mean, it’s the first lap of the race,” Busch said. “We don’t even have water temp in the car yet, and we’re wrecking each other off of [Turn 2]…I’m tired of getting run over — by everybody. But that’s what everybody does. Everybody runs over everybody to pass everybody.”

Busch was clearly frustrated with the start of the All-Star Race, and Stenhouse was even more heated about the outcome. It was a crazy weekend at North Wilkesboro, which featured extreme flooding during the NASCAR Truck Series race and a fight on Sunday night. It may not count for points, but these drivers care about competing in the All-Star Race.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. talks about fighting Kyle Busch at 2024 All-Star Race

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. talks about fighting Kyle Busch at the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race. Check out Stenhouse had to say about Busch!

[autotag]Ricky Stenhouse Jr.[/autotag] didn’t lose any points at North Wilkesboro Speedway since it was the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race; however, he was adamant about not losing his fight after the race. Early in the event, [autotag]Kyle Busch[/autotag] wrecked the No. 47 car. Stenhouse proceeded to say that Richard Childress should “hold his watch” after the race, referencing when the team owner fought Busch in the past.

Well, the fight didn’t disappoint. Busch and Stenhouse confronted each other in the garage, and fists flew. Following the fight, Stenhouse talked to FOX Sports 1 and discussed the incident with Busch in the garage.

“I feel like we get along with each other okay outside the race track,” Stenhouse said. “I talk to [Kyle Busch] quite a bit. I’m not sure why he was so mad that I shoved it three-wide. But, he hit the fence and kind of came off the wall and ran into me. I don’t know, when I was talking to him he kept saying that I wrecked him. Definitely built up frustration with how he runs his mouth all the time about myself.”

“But I know he’s frustrated because he doesn’t run near as good as he used to, and I understand that. We’re a single-car team over here. We’re working really hard to go out and get better each and every weekend, and we had a really good game plan coming in. Our car was really strong Friday in practice. I was looking forward to running to the front. I think we had passed a couple cars there and I was excited for the rest of the night, and he ruined it.”

The racing itself at North Wilkesboro wasn’t great, but short-track racing produces hot tempers in the NASCAR Cup Series. Stenhouse is still frustrated with Busch, as this isn’t a one-night situation. It will be interesting to see how the two drivers race each other moving forward, with a points race coming this weekend.

Here’s every angle of the vicious Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch fight, including a dad getting involved

This escalated quickly.

Welcome to FTW’s NASCAR Feud of the Week, where we provide a detailed breakdown of the latest absurd, funny and sometimes legitimate controversies and issues within the racing world.

In case you missed it, we got a pretty nasty fight between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch after Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race.

After Busch knocked out Stenhouse early in the race, Stenhouse got in Busch’s face and threw a punch, which ended up in some chaos in the melee near the haulers.

There were a lot of cameras in the area filming the whole thing, so it’s time to take a look at every angle of it, and there’s one that shows Stenhouse’s dad, Ricky Stenhouse Sr., getting in on the action. What an absolutely wild moment.

Here are a bunch of videos:

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. followed through on his promise that he would see Kyle Busch after the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Stenhouse not only saw Busch in the garage Sunday night but threw a punch at the Richard Childress Racing driver as the two went back and forth about their on-track contact. The night had ended on lap two for Stenhouse after Busch wrecked him in Turn 2. But without a tunnel at North Wilkesboro, Stenhouse remained in the infield and was waiting for Busch as the No. 8 hauler after the race.

“Go back and watch the replay, I didn’t touch you. Not once,” Stenhouse could be heard saying to Busch.

“We all hit each other,” Busch replied.

“You hit the fence and then you hit me,” Stenhouse said, pointing toward the racetrack.

“I don’t believe it, but if that’s what happened, OK,” Busch said.

“Go back and watch it,” Stenhouse said before punching Busch.

[lawrence-auto-related count=3 category=1428]

Once the punch landed, Stenhouse grabbed Busch, and the two went toward the ground before being separated. NASCAR security pulled Stenhouse away while Stenhouse’s father, Ricky Sr., went after Busch.

Stenhouse repeatedly yelled, “Dad,” as the situation escalated, with more and more individuals getting involved. “Get my dad.”

Eventually, Busch made it onto the tailgate of his hauler, but he and Stenhouse continued to yell at each other about what happened on the racetrack.

“I don’t give a [expletive],” Busch said. “I suck just as bad as you.”

Stenhouse finished last in the 20-car field. Busch was not a factor in the 200-lap race and finished 10th.

“I feel like Kyle and I have always raced each other really hard back to the [Xfinity] Series when we were competing for wins week-in and week-out,” Stenhouse told Fox Sports after the fight. “We never had any issues, and then I wrecked one time at Daytona, and he’s kind of bad-mouthed me ever since then, so I feel like we get along with each other OK outside the racetrack. I talk to him quite a bit.

“I’m not sure why he was so mad that I shoved it three-wide, but he hit the fence and came off the wall and ran into me… When I was talking to him, he kept saying that I wrecked him, so yeah, it’s definitely built-up frustration with how he runs his mouth all the time about myself. But I know he’s frustrated because he doesn’t run near as good as he used to and I understand that. We’re a single-car team over here; we’re working really hard to go out and get better each and every weekend and we had a really good game plan coming [into today]. Our car was really strong Friday in practice; I was looking forward to running to the front. I think we’d passed a couple of cars there, and I was excited for the rest of the night, and he ruined it.

“Being stuck in here definitely doesn’t help the frustration. If there was a tunnel, I’d [have] probably been home watching the end of that. But here we are.”
