The Knicks are 6-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 7 games vs. teams with a winning percentage above .600.

Knicks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 114, Knicks 104

Moneyline

PASS.

The Nets (-125) should win, but there is no need to pay the extra juice on the moneyline when Brooklyn should win by more than 1 point. Bet the spread or total instead.

Against the spread

BET NETS -1.5 (-115).

New York may be due for a letdown after an impressive overtime win vs. the East-leading Celtics on national television. The Nets should be extra motivated to bounce back after an embarrassing effort vs. the Pistons, which resulted in Detroit winning its 1st game in Brooklyn in almost 5 years. Irving is averaging 39 points per game over his last 4 and should be able to will the Nets to a win Saturday. Lay the points.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 223.5 (-108).

The Under is 4-0 in Brooklyn’s last 4 home games vs. teams with a winning record on the road and 6-1 in the Nets’ last 7 after failing to cover in their previous game. These teams tend to play low-scoring games vs. each other as the Under has hit in 12 of the last 17 meetings. Look for these trends to continue Saturday.

New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (4-7) welcome the New York Knicks (5-5) to Barclays Center Wednesday. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Knicks vs. Nets odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Knicks are coming into this game having won 2 of their last 3, having been destroyed 133-118 at home against the Boston Celtics and then most recently beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-107 on the road.

New York has 4 players averaging in double figures and offseason acquisition G Jalen Brunson has been a top weapon, averaging 19.7 points per game. F Julius Randle leads the team with a 20.1 per-game average.

The Nets are 2-1 in their last 3 and will be without suspended G Kyrie Irving, who is their 2nd-leading scorer. Brooklyn has played all 3 games without Irving.

The home side is led by former MVP F Kevin Durant, who is again looking like a candidate for the award. He is averaging 31 points per game and shooting 52% from the field.

Knicks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 115, Knicks 111

Moneyline

PASS.

This line, especially the moneyline, stinks. I would pass on the Nets at -155, and the Knicks may be enticing, but should ultimately still be a pass.

Against the spread

LEAN NETS -2.5 (-115).

The Nets are at home and the better team despite being down Irving. It seems the lack of Irving’s presence may boost their chemistry offensively with G Joe Harris getting more opportunities.

The loss of Robinson will cripple the Knicks inside presence, which is an area of weakness for Brooklyn. The Knicks won’t have an answer for Durant either as they sit 18th in defensive rating.

Turnovers could be a big factor in this game as well, and it is an area where the Nets are superior, ranking 7th in turnover rate.

Over/Under

BET OVER 220.5 (-110).

Simply put, both teams are good at offense and bad at defense. The Knicks sit 6th in offensive rebounding rate while the Nets are last in defensive rebounding.

Durant should be able to keep the Brooklyn offense alive, and players like G Seth Curry and Harris have the skill to create for themselves as well. As noted, the Nets don’t turn the ball over either.

Brooklyn will get shots up, and the Knicks will get ample 2nd-chance opportunities. New York is 5-4-1 O/U while Brooklyn is 3-3 O/U at home.

New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Knicks (28-39) visit Barclays Center Sunday to take on the Brooklyn Nets (34-33). Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at the Knicks at Nets odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Nets are coming into this inner-city battle having taken down the Philadelphia 76ers in Ben Simmons’ return to the City of Brotherly Love Thursday – though he didn’t play. The Nets won by 29 (129-100).

Two night earlier, the Nets beat the Hornets by 11 (132-121). They have covered two straight games and are 2-2 against the spread (ATS) since the return of F Kevin Durant. They’re 27-38-2 ATS overall.

The Nets are 2-0 against the Knicks this season yet 1-1 ATS. New York is 31-36 ATS on the season and has covered 5 straight games after failing to cover in the previous six.

The Knicks are led by PF Julius Randle, who is averaging a team-best 20.4 points per game. He also leads the 76ers in rebounds (10.0) and assists (5.2).

Knicks at Nets odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 115, Knicks 107

Money line

PASS.

The Nets (-240) are surging and at home, but the price is not worth the risk. Similarly, the Knicks are just 15-20 on the road and can’t be trusted to come out on top. Even their +190 doesn’t have enough value to make it playable.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET NETS -5.5 (-120).

The Nets have been playing very well since the return of Durant.

While they’re just 2-2 straight up, they lost to Miami and Boston, both games by 6 points. The Heat and Celtics are both legitimate title contenders. The Nets also destroyed the Sixers and Hornets.

Durant is averaging 26.8 points per game since returning, and he’ll be taking on a Knicks team that ranks 16th in defensive rating. They don’t make up for it offensively either, averaging the 27th-most points per game in the NBA.

Also, New York is just 15-19 ATS as an underdog this season. Brooklyn has oftentimes struggled to cover, but with Durant healthy, it should be able to get the best of the Knicks.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 224.5 (-110).

The Knicks don’t score a high rate, and they play at a slow pace. New York ranks 24th in offensive rating and 27th in pace this season, two figures that do not bode well for covering the Over.

The Knicks are 2-2 O/U over their last 4 games, while the Nets are 2-3 O/U over their last 5.

While Durant’s full offensive arsenal should be on display, Irving has scored 72 points over the Nets’ last 2 games, but he will be unavailable in this one.

Considering the Knicks’ style of play and the Nets’ potential inconsistency without Irving, I like the Under.

New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Knicks (11-9) take a short commute to Barclays Center for a 7:30 p.m. ET game against the Brooklyn Nets (14-6) Tuesday. Below, we look at the Knicks vs. Nets odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions, and bets.

New York has alternated between winning and losing over its last eight games (3-5 ATS) with the latest being a 99-90 victory Saturday at the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks are 9-11 ATS and 7-13 O/U with the 17th-best net rating (minus-0.2).

Brooklyn had its four-game win streak snapped Saturday in a 113-107 home loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Nets are 9-11 ATS and 9-11 O/U with the sixth-best net rating (plus-4.0).

The Nets beat the Knicks in all three regular-season meetings last year but New York covered two of those contests and the Over cashed in each game. Also, the Knicks have covered in six of their last seven meetings with the Nets.

Knicks at Nets odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 106, Knicks 103

Money line

PASS with a slight “lean” towards the Knicks (+210) because it’s a fat payout and I like New York getting the points in this game.

However, Brooklyn has a much better clutch net rating and if Knicks-Nets comes down to the final possessions, which it should, then it’s hard to not side with F Kevin Durant in this one.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the KNICKS +6.5 (-115) for a half-unit because most of the market is on the Nets but I don’t see 6.5 points worth of difference between the current versions of these teams. Also, the Knicks have played much better on the road than the Nets have at home.

New York is 6-3 overall on the road with the fifth-best efficiency differential and fifth-best ATS margin, according to CleaningTheGlass.com. Whereas Brooklyn is 6-4 with the 17th-ranked efficiency differential and 25th-best ATS margin at home.

My hesitation with the Knicks +6.5 (-112) in this spot is New York is going through lineup changes and is still figuring out its best rotations. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau announced Monday that PG Kemba Walker is no longer in the rotation and SG Alec Burks will take over as the starter.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 216.5 (-115), which is my favorite play in this contest.

First of all, the Under has been hit by “sharp line movement” as the Knicks-Nets opened with a 217-point total and has been lowered despite more action being on the Over, according to the Yahoo! Sports App.

New York does a good job defending what Brooklyn does often. The Nets play a lot of isolation basketball and attempt a bunch of mid-range jumpers, but the Knicks have the seventh-best defensive efficiency vs. isolation offense and sixth-best defensive field goal percentage vs. mid-range shots per CleaningTheGlass.com.

On top of that, Brooklyn’s defense is underrated. The Nets have the best effective field goal shooting allowed and the eighth-best defensive rating.

Essentially, I’m expecting a rock-fight between two teams that play a lot of isolation basketball and have a combined 16-24 O/U record this year. Plus there might be value in zagging on the trend of all three Knicks-Nets games last season going Over the total.

New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The New York Knicks (25-25) will make the short trip to Barclays Center Monday to take on the Brooklyn Nets (34-16) with tip-off set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Knicks-Nets odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Knicks snapped their three-game losing skid Saturday when they crushed the Detroit Pistons 125-81. They’re 5-5 in their last 10 games and PF Julius Randle is playing extremely well, having led the team in rebounds and assists in each of the last three games.

The Nets are banged-up, missing SG James Harden and SF Kevin Durant. They’re still 4-1 in their last five games, but they most recently lost 115-107 to the Chicago Bulls Sunday. Durant remains out Monday, but Harden is questionable. It could be the Kyrie Irving show again.

Knicks at Nets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Knicks 108, Nets 105

Money line (ML)

The Nets have won seven of their last 10 and four of their last five, but beating a solid Knicks team shorthanded Monday night will be a challenge for Brooklyn.

Randle should continue his high level of play and carry the KNICKS (+170) to an outright win at Barclays Center.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Knicks are getting 5 points on the road as the NBA’s No. 1 defense goes up against the league’s second-highest scoring squad.

New York well above .500 against the spread this year at 28-21-1 compared to Brooklyn, which is only 24-26.

I like the KNICKS +5 (-110) to cover the spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under line of 217.5 points matches the lowest projected total of the Nets’ last 10 games.

The total went Under the projection in five of the Knicks’ last six games, while it has gone Over in only one of the Nets’ last eight.

Bet the UNDER 217.5 (-110) as the Knicks look to ground Brooklyn’s offense.
