Knicks at Jazz: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Jazz 109, Knicks 101
Money line (ML)
The Jazz (-600) will cost you six times your potential return. That’s just way too risky, especially since the Knicks (+425) aren’t the pushover they have been in the past. You could hit this wager 85 percent of the time, which would be amazing, and you would be behind -500 over the course of 100 bets. Plus, New York won 112-100 as 7.5-point underdogs Jan. 6 in New York. AVOID.
Against the spread (ATS)
The KNICKS +11.5 (-120) have been able to keep the Jazz -11.5 (-110) within arm’s length for many years, for whatever reason. The personnel has changed over the years, but New York is still the play here until Utah starts to tick off several covers in a row in this series. NYK is 25-6 ATS across the past 31 meetings, including 12-3 ATS in the past 15 trips to Salt Lake City.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 213.5 (-110) is a good play. Yes, Utah has hit the Over in three in a row, but they’re still third in defensive scoring average at 106.1 PPG. New York has allowed 103.6 PPG to rank first in the NBA, and the Knicks are also 43.2 in defensive field-goal percentage and first in 3-pointer percentage, too at 31.4. The Under also hit in the first meeting with 212 total points on a number of 214.5. We’ll have a similarly close shave here.
