Knicks at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 114, Bulls 106

Moneyline

PASS.

The Knicks (-190) spread presents a better chance at profit.

Against the spread

BET KNICKS -4.5 (-110).

New York has covered the spread in 6 of its last 9 games and is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 as a favorite. The Knicks are 41-34-3 ATS this season and face a Chicago team that is just 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall and has failed to cover in 4 of its last 6 at home. With Brunson leading the way, the Knicks will win decisively Tuesday night.

Over/Under

BET OVER 212.5 (-110).

The Knicks have hit the Over in 8 of their last 10 games, including 7 of their last 8 overall and 5 of their last 6 on the road. They have scored 112 or more points in 6 of their last 8 games and have given up 108 or more in each of their last 6. The Bulls have scored 108 or more points in 7 of their last 10 games, including 4 of their last 6.

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Chicago Bulls (36-40) welcome the New York Knicks (45-31) to the United Center Friday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Knicks vs. Bulls odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Knicks lead 1-0

The Knicks beat the Bulls 116-100 in New York on Jan. 3, covering as an 8-point home favorite. Including Friday, these teams will play 3 times in the next 2 weeks.

New York is coming off a 120-109 home win over the Sacramento Kings Thursday, covering as a 4-point favorite. The Knicks have lost 3 of their last 4 yet have won 4 of their last 7 and covered in 5 of those 7. New York is 40-33-3 against the spread (ATS) on the season.

The Bulls lost 113-101 to the Atlanta Hawks Monday, failing to cover as a 2-point home favorite. They have lost 5 of their last 7 games and are 2-5 ATS in that stretch. Chicago is 37-38-1 ATS on the season. It is led by F DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 23.6 points per game.

Knicks at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, Knicks 106

Moneyline

BET BULLS (-118).

The Knicks shot 55% from the field against Sacramento Thursday with F Josh Hart hitting 14 of 19. A similar performance is unlikely. New York will be without Randle for the rest of the season and won’t be a good matchup for a guard-heavy Bulls team. NY has won just 1 of its last 4 games.

Chicago has the talent in G Cody White to counteract G Jalen Brunson. The Bulls should also have a size advantage with C Nikola Vucevic. The Bulls will have a strong rest advantage as well, having not played for 4 days.

Chicago matches up well with New York. At home, take BULLS (-118).

Against the spread

PASS.

The spread and moneyline are close enough to consider either. I prefer the moneyline and to not fool around with the points.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 212 (-110).

Chicago has the scoring to help the Over here with 4 active players scoring 12 or more points per game. The Bulls have scored at least 108 points in 3 of their last 4 games and are 7-4 O/U in their last 11. Chicago is 40-35-1 O/U on the season.

The Knicks have gone Over in 6 straight games and have tallied at least 112 points in 5 of their last 6, allowing at least 109 in 4 straight as well. With Anunoby, who they brought in for his defensive acumen, still sidelined, the Bulls guard play could thrive.

Back OVER 212 (-110).

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Knicks (9-7) travel to United Center Sunday to take on the Chicago Bulls (11-5). Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Knicks at Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

In a battle of two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls will welcome the Knicks. The Bulls should be happy to be home after playing five straight on the West Coast.

However, Chicago ended its West Coast road swing with a win over the Nuggets. The Bulls are 11-5 ATS and 7-9 O/U. Chicago is led by wings Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.

As for the Knicks, they’re currently fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. Despite their positive record, they’re just 4-6 in their last 10 games. New York is 7-9 ATS and 6-10 O/U. They’re led by star forward Julius Randle.

Knicks at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 109, Knicks 103

Money line

PASS on the money line.

If anything, consider betting the Knicks at +180 as they should have a size advantage and have the defensive capabilities to at least slowdown DeRozan and LaVine. The Bulls would need to get down under -150 to be playable.

Against the spread

BET to the BULLS -5.5 (-110) as the better side of the spread. While the Knicks lost by just one to the Bulls the first time around, every other loss they’ve had was by more than five points.

With late-game fouling, I’d expect this one to be more than a couple of field goals difference as well. The Bulls rank seventh in offensive rating while the Knicks are sitting at 11th.

The difference should be seen in the defense as the Bulls rank sixth in defensive rating. The Knicks have dropped off on that side of the floor, ranking 17th.

They also have the 24th-worst net rating after the half which could lead to this game getting ugly following the break.

Over/Under

“LEAN” on the OVER 210.5 (-112) as the best value. The Knicks might be the second slowest team in the NBA, but on the road, they’ll be playing at Chicago’s pace.

The Bulls rank 14th in the league in pace and rarely turn the ball over, two things that’ll help push up their points in this one. Also, last time these two teams played, Chicago shot 43% from the field.

Given the Knicks’ elite second unit (New York bench averages the third-most points in the NBA) combined with the star power and shooting in their starting unit, and I think this Over could be the better value on the total.

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Knicks (3-1) roll into the “Windy City” Thursday for a 5 p.m. ET tip-off against an undefeated Chicago Bulls (4-0) at United Center. Below, we look at the Knicks vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

New York has covered in all its victories including a 112-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday as a 1-point home favorite. The Knicks have the fifth-best net points per 100 possessions in non-garbage time through four games, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Chicago has also covered in all of its victories with the latest being a 111-108 win at the Toronto Raptors as a 2-point favorite. CleaningTheGlass.com ranks the Bulls fourth in net points per 100 possessions but Chicago hasn’t played a team with a winning record from last season.

The Knicks won and covered in two of three regular-season meetings with the Bulls last year. All three games between New York and Chicago last season went Under the total.

New York first-time All-Star forward Julius Randle scored 28.0 points per game (PPG) on 63.2% true shooting (.508/.556/.824) with a plus-15 net rating in three games against Chicago last season.

Knicks at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 110, Bulls 103

Money line

BET the KNICKS (+102) for 1 unit because I have a “wait and see” approach with the Bulls at the moment and New York has more continuity.

Chicago brought in several new pieces this offseason it’s relying on compared to a New York team that added to its playoff nucleus.

The Knicks know exactly what they are and shoot better from the field. New York is seventh in assist-to-turnover rate and fourth in effective field goal shooting (eFG%).

There’s nothing impressive about Chicago’s opponents such as the Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Pelicans and the Raptors. Whereas the Knicks beat the snot out of the Sixers Tuesday.

Against the spread

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Knicks +1.5 (-108) since I’m betting them to win outright. However, I’d need more than 1.5 points worth of insurance with New York. If the Knicks become a 2.5-point or greater underdog then I’d buy some insurance for my New York money line wager.

Over/Under

Slight “LEAN” to the UNDER 216.5 (-112) for a quarter unit only because I much prefer the Knicks outright rather than the total in this game.

The presumed “sharp” side of the market is backing the Under while more bets have been placed on the Over, according to Pregame.com.

Typically, in sports betting, it’s profitable to follow the money especially when it’s flowing in the opposite direction as the public.

Also, through their first four games, the Bulls play at the 26th-fastest pace, and the Knicks clock in at the 27th-fastest pace. However, the total has moved up from the 215-point opener despite more money being on the Under and New York has been red-hot from behind the arc in all three wins.
